My "Negotiating with Terrorists" LTTE published
Sorry, no link as usual... any comments? This is a weekly paper, so LTTEs are often a week or two behind the news.

The admission by Don Rumsfeld that we are negotiating with terrorists in Iraq should not surprise many people. After all, when Al Qaeda flew planes in the World Trade Center because they hated U.S. troops on Saudi soil, the White House response was to later announce we were withdrawing our troops from Saudi Arabia. Then, when North Korea started rattling their saber about nukes, the Bush response was to announce that we're taking our troops out of South Korea. Strength in the face of terror is obviously a hallmark for this administration, just like honesty.

2. I am always happy to see
DUers writing LTTE. It's one of the most important things people can do to promote democracy in America. It combines two of the things that the Bill of Rights advocates: a free press, and freedom of speech.

3. thanks for your support
It's not THE big paper in my state - The Hartford Courant - but, it has a pretty wide distribution in eastern Connecticut where there tends to be a lot of the so-called "Reagan" Democrats in this more rural part of the state.

4. Good.
It's far, far more important to have LTTE in the smaller newspapers. They have far more impact on readers than the larger paper's LTTE. The smaller the paper, the more important the letter.
