1. Pretty early in the season
The ground and vegetation haven't completely dried up from the winter rains. It's going to be a hell of a fire season here in SoCal.

4. Nasty hot in SoCal today
The air seems to pull the moisture right off your skin. Perfect brush fire weather. Somewhere in Century City, an insurance agent sucks down a second martini and considers a new career...

7. I've jumped in the shower 4 times today just to get wet. I'm thinking
about getting one of them inflatable pools cause this is going to be one hot summer and I don't have A/C.

8. Anybody else notice something weird in that picture?
How the green of the grass is sharply delineated right at property lines? How much water is needed to keep that grass green in an environment that is obviously not meant for it?

9. Well, it is a ritzy dizty area...
but having said that, remember that LA and the desert southwest areas had BIG rains this year. And all that rain made for extra vegetation which is now making for extra brushfire fuel!
