I think Judith Miller's source is not Rove
I think there is more than one leaker. As we all know Miller was shilling for the war and was best buds with Chalabi so i'm thinking her source was someone in the CIA, of course Cheney was at the CIA alot btu if it's not him then someone else that actually works there.

1. I have said from the beginning, that Judy's source was not Rove.
She has admitted being afraid of the government. I think her source is much higher placed and in a position to do more harm. Her source might well be Cheney.

13. Isn't she being questioned because she got calls from AF1 at the same time
Novak and Cooper got calls? I doubt Bush and Cheney were both on AF1 together that night.

But obviously, there's a wide range of possibilities here.

4. I would tend to agree
that Miller's source was someone else. Someone really big that scares her more than jail. Could it be Emperor Cheney?

5. well you know i saw Carl Bernstein on tv not too long ago and he said
many times when you have an anonymous source that if you read the piece carefully the source is actually named but in regards to the privy info they are quoted as anonymous.

6. Miller didn't write an article. So, why would anyone care about her
if she found out about this from anyone outside the WH?

She's an issue because of contacts with the person within the whitehouse who contacted several reporters.

Chalabi isn't a CIA agent. So it wouldn't be agains the law if he told her and she then told anyone else.

If Miller told the WH that Plame was a spy, that wouldn't be a crime unless Miller was a government employee and was telling people in the WH who weren't authorized to know.

I think it's obvious that someone in the WH told Miller about Plame and she chose not to right about it before everyone realized it was a crime.

7. who said Chalabi was an agent? She had many contacts at the cia
in the run up to the war and i think it was someone there.

12. So you think they want to question her so that they can prosecute some-
one in the CIA?

But there's no evidence that she knew who Plame was -- she didn't write an article about it and there hasn't been an allegation that she revealed the information to anyone.

Furthermore, there's absolutely no information suggesting anyone outside the WH is even a potential criminal defendant.

She is part of this investigation, AFAIK, because she was one of several reporters for whom there were records of outgoing phone calls from AF1 shortly before some of those reporters ID'd Plame in newspaper articles.

She is only part of this investigation because she was contacted by the WH staff.

15. My guess is a "secure undisclosed location"
being infused with the fresh blood of young virgins and oiled up with the rendered fat of infants to keep the Dark Lord looking at least passably human.

14. i've been trying to toss this around, so people remember
novak claimed 2 sources. it's not just rove. the speculation on Judy's source is still that it's scooter libby, cheney's chief of staff.
These guys cover it pretty well:

http://www.cepmedia.ca/index.php?option=content&task=view&id=507&Itemid=47

Note that scooter publicly said that any reporter could release info that he gave them.

Also note that Fitzgerald know's judy's source, and that source has given her the go ahead to speak, and still she doesn't.

Scooter is the 2nd leak (miller's leak). the 2 number 2's are responsible (rove and libby). I want to see rove go down as much or more than anyone, but I would really like to see everyone go down around him, too... :bounce:

18. I think she is whoring for the administration by showing what happens to
journalists that nose around too much. I think she's playing a role so that journalists are hamstrung, like they were by that paper in Ohio. All the crocodile tears by her peers on the MSM are leading me to this conclusion.

20. Well, we know Novak had TWO senior WH officials that told him.
This is clearly more than just Rove. This story is FAR, FAR, FAR, FAR from over! It's going to drag out and drag out and be a thorn in Bush's side probably for another year.

no way is cheney going to leave his prints and if he were by some chance then libby would absolutely take the complete fall for it

23. It plays better that it was Rove.
Why would Rove call Cooper and release him, but not Miller? Did he tell her more, like he knew she was an undercover agent? What else is Karl Rove hiding by not giving her the personal release that he gave Miller?

Of course, the only defense to this is that it isn't Rove that was her leaker, which makes it a conspiracy.

24. Logic 101 = Why Sit In Jail Now That Rove Is Outted?
If Rove was the source and Miller got the same info Cooper did, then why didn't she call the matron in her cell, get Fitzgerald on the phone, say "Sir, that's the same person who told me"...and good chance she'd be sitting in her trendy NYC loft eating bon bons right now.

There's something about Judy needs more light shined upon. She's the "telephone girl" in this game here. Of course Rove didn't out Plame...he was just relaying what others told him...the hope is to create an endless loop that makes it impossible to find where the original source came from. But this circuit is only as strong as those who hold the secrets. For now, methinks Judy feels safer (remember her line about fearing the government) in a jail cell.

25. I think it was someone in Cheney's office
Maybe Scooter, maybe someone else. Whomever did it was undoubtedly acting on Cheney, Bush or Rove's orders, so ultimately, it is the responsibility of Bush and Cheney, as they are the ones who are ostensibly in charge.

26. Please clarify.
How many phone calls to so called reporters came from Air Force One?

If any did wouldn't it be uncovered who was on that plane at the time of the phone call(s)?

27. it may not be, but the prosecuter already knows her source
so there is more to it than just freedom of the press

she is probably guilty herself of a crime
