37. Well, they can now SPIN the results
The new meme for the media will be, "Most Americans would prefer that Rove resign instead of having any other action <implying prison> taken against him."

They'll make it look like we don't want him in jail when the option wasn't there in the first place!!

7. Too bad questions are insufficient.
I am not sure whether to vote for "he should resign" or "his security clearance should be revoked."

Even if he resigns, he is likely to still have plenty of clout. I wish it asked if he should be tried for treason.

11. Here's Milbank's online response as to whether R will be fired
Washington, D.C.: What odds would you give at this point that this will lead to Rove's firing?

Dana Milbank: My predictions are often comically off, but here goes: This is Karl Rove's town, and the rest of us -- President Bush included -- are just living in it.

15. Don't forget to COMMENT ON TODAY'S QUESTION
I did. Here's what I wrote:

"There was no choice for "prison." Was that just an oversight on your part or do you really not believe that someone who outs a CIA should go to prison? Outing a CIA agent is pretty serious and should be punishable by prison time."

28. Welcome, Reformed!
:toast:

(Personally, I was thinking more along the lines of having him buried in the sand up to his neck, honey poured on his head, and having a colony of fire ants released in the immediate vicinity. While having Jimmy/Jeff dance the Watusi, wearing only a boosh*/cheney campaign button, tantalizingly out of reach. But, hey, that's just me. )

19. One word: Gitmo
Has there ever been a bigger or more obvious threat to US national security?

Can you imagine if a middle easterner of any stripe horked up that kind of information? They'd be in lockdown before you could say "habeus corpus." Except that there actually would be criminal charges...

Resignation is not enough - unless his security clearances are revoked (preferably because he is convicted of a crime) he can still operate as a paid consultant.

36. Who do you think responds to these polls?
Most of the time, I'm pleasantly surprised to see pretty strong Dem leaning responses, not only MSNBC, but CNN too. When I responded to this one, there had been over 11,000 votes, and 81% say he should resign.

So who responds to these polls? Somehow, I can't feel confident that 81% of Americans think Karl should resign, yet we always complain about cable news and many say they don't watch.
