Threat of terrorism is at bottom of my list of things to be afraid of
Edited on Fri Jul-08-05 11:40 PM by Quixote1818
All this talk of the bombings in England putting terrorism back at the top of the list of important issues is a crock created by the Bush Administration, FOX news and basically people with no math skills. As if leaders were suposed to drop everything and forget about Africa and Global Warming because of another terrorist attack??? Give me a break!

Leading causes of death in America 2003

1.Heart Disease Approx. 700,000 people
2.Malignant Neoplasms Approx. 560,000 People
3.Cerebro Vascular Approx. 163,000 People
4.Chronic Respiratory Disease Approx. 125,000 People
5.Unintentional Injury 107,000
6.Diabetes 75,000
7.Influenza 65,000
8.Alzheimer's Disease 58,000
9.Nephritis 41,000
10.Septicemia 34,000

Americans killed by Terrorism in 2003. A whooping 35
http://globalresearch.ca/articles/DAV411B.html

The attacks in England are tragic but the threat of unintentional injury is 3,000 times higher than being killed by a terrorist and only number 5 on the list. I recommend people don't leave their houses and put soft padding on any sharp edges in your house!!!!!!!! Those cabinet corners most certainly killed more people than terrorists did in 2003. :scared:

1. What sucks is if you have none of those diseases
on your list and you are killed by a terrorist.

2. I'll have to move lightning up and terrorism down on my list.
According to the U.S. National Weather Service, 73 people die from lightning strikes each year...

7. Could have used an old standby
"When Animals Attack" as their presentation material.

:sarcasm:Of course, since the War On Terra is going so well, no wonder ONLY 35 people were killed by terrorists...I guess we need to declare war on lightning, and war on animal attacks?

9. The magic of terra is not how many people they kill
but what they do to the target society... in that sense tehy have been horribly succesful

Now you are onto something if we can just convince middle small town america of this... if we no longer play the song and dance, their effectiveness goes down by orders of magnitude

But they have been effective,

Prima Fasiae for their effectiveness

Hte US Traitor Act, if you know what I mean,

Why did the IRA not succeed in the Time of Troubles>? You saw it yesterday, fuck we were bombed, oh crikey what a hassle, will have to walk home... and then they just went on with their lives as if nothing happened

Now on the plus side, this ain't polling good for the Rigth Wing, what do you mean we will fighth them over there so we don't have to fight them over here?

That said, never under estimate AQ, they are a real problem, but one that shold be dealt with by police, some military and mostly draining the damn swammp not adding gas and oxygen to the mix
