Bush has every right to name a conservative Justice
and the 1 out of 3 pro choicers joined with the 1 out of 4 LGBT voters to give it to him. I sincerly hope Bush doesn't, as he repeatedly promised, name a Scalia or Thomas imitater to the court. But if he does, he will be doing exactly as he repeatedly promised, and as we repeatedly warned he would. It would also be exactly what he did with appelate judges.

I have no idea why 1 out of 3 pro choicers voted for Bush. Maybe it was tax cuts, maybe the thought he was lying about judges, maybe it was the war on terror. I have no idea, but if he names another Scalia or Thomas they need to look in the mirror when they try to dish out the blame for him having done so. He told them he would, we told them he would, his actions told them he would. Other than God himself coming down and saying he would, I have no idea what else it would have taken to get that through their heads.

Bush has every right to name those justices, he got that right in no small measure from pro choicers and LGBT voters. Fortunately the Senate has the right to filibuster those judges. Let us hope they are able and willing to use that right to protect those voters from themselves and more justly the rest of us from them.

Because He's never been fairly elected.

2. Unfortunately, we lost that fight too.
I hate the idea that he probably will nominate extreme RW candidates, and I'd bet that the Pubs will use the neuclear option if the Dems filabuster. I don't see any other options in this mess. I think America is looking at decades of suffering because too many people believed in a lie!

He is a criminal and ANYTHING he and his administration have done must be repealed upon review.

4. Promises, shromises. He'll do what he wants, fuck the rest of us sans lube
as usual.

He has every right to be true to his promises. Given his record, he'll be false as usual. And given his record, which is tantamount to lies upon lies, can't something be DONE about it?

Or are we beyond recriminations at this point?
