Bush has to review strategy, say US experts

A constant theme of the Bush administration is that America and the world are safer because of the US invasion of Iraq and its anti-terror strategy.

That argument prevailed during the US presidential election campaign last year, despite even official US evidence to the contrary, but may have been finally buried by Thursday’s bombings in London.

Experts in Washington said following the blasts that it was time for the Bush administration to re-evaluate its strategy.

Confronted by opinion polls showing his falling popularity and waning support for the war in Iraq, Mr Bush stuck to his guns in a speech to the military last week that characteristically showed no hint of change.

13. And he doesn't know a damn thing about anti-terrorism strategy
Recall that Cheney became terrorism czar umbrella'd under FEMA shortly after Bush took office. Lotta good that did the US.

7. If the US still does not have a robust counter-terrorism strategy
then what "hard work" has bush been doing.

Yesterday, he was trying to "catapault the propaganda" by riding his bike without sufficient knowledge of the steering/handlebar device and foot controlled braking device.

Last year(s)/month/week, * was saying how much safer we all were since Saddam has been captured...

8. On the radio
My husband listens to sports shows on AM radio during his commutes. He said one DJ mentioned today's attacks and commented that he wouldn't discuss politics but if people think Bush's policies are making the world safer from terrorism, just keep voting for the Bushes.

14. Exactly
The only anti-terrorism move that makes sense is leaving Iraq.

Instead, we'll get anal cavity searches at the airport.

If it's in a big binder with "Terror Plan" written on the cover he'll never read it.

I would recommend a coloring book. One about goats. He really seems to like goats.
