who did it?
Edited on Thu Jul-07-05 11:34 AM by leftofthedial
We don't know yet, do we?

a parade of republicans on cable news has been beating the fear drum and has made the tacit linkage between today's attacks and 9-11 and the same vague identification of the perpetrators that allowed the bushgang to morph the 9-11 attacks into an invasion of Iraq.

It's happening again.

How long until a London fireman finds an intact Iranian passport on the sidewalk beside the bombed bus?

2. My thoughts exactly. We currently have no idea who did this.
All we have are our biases.

3. No conclusive analysis of the evidence whatsoever
In fact, there is no confirmation of the type(s) of explosives used yet, nor of the method used in placing them.

4. lots of folks have the means and the opportunity...
and even the motive, but those who will benefit the most from it...will be the ones who "did it"....and the convienent thing about "terrorist" bombings...is that it can be quickly blamed on those that will further the benifit those who really did it....and the world will rally around quickly. Such a convenient thing..this "terror" and this "war on terror".

10. Plenty of groups are taking credit...
...as it said on the BBC today. They then went on, despite saying that it was still uncertain and that all the groups claiming responsibility were being considered, to mention only one group specifically. Guess which one.

isn't that the lesson we should learn from this? That God is great?

9. Not long, I'm sure.
To me, the jury is still out.

But it wouldn't suprise me if this was eventually used as justification for further war.

15. And if we find out
that this particular monstrous faction got their food and lodging paid for by the Saudi royals...what then? More hand-holding from Bush? More empty tough talk?
Does this administration have any thinkers? Any people with knowledge? Any leadership beyond stubborn intractibility?
It's time to kick out the lazy legacy students who don't know geography or history and could care less....cause they're only in this for the money.
We need statesmen (and women). Fast.
We need people who know how to apply pressure...and not just how to deploy more carpet bombing.
The Bush team is failing. Let's kick them out and start over.

People in power do things for a reason.

17. Exactly. We have NO reason to suspect the mass murderers who would
most benefit from this atrocity because we have no hard evidence that PROVES their responsibility.

That would be engaging in rash and harmful speculation.

On the other hand, we have EVERY reason to believe that this horrid act was perpetrated by Islamic terrorists because we have no hard evidence that DISPROVES their responsibility.

Does that about sum it up for everyone?
