John McCain: "We have not had an attack since 911"

He just said that on NBC.

Doesnt John McCain work in the US senate building?

Ummm, JOHN, there WAS an attack after 911.. it was where YOU WORK and it happened in October 2001 !!

That was right about a month after 911 when we should have still been on the highest alert, but George Bush FAILED to protect America, AGAIN!

.. some senior US senators and their staff were almost killed.

How could he possibly NOT know that?

Are these people just shameless liars? Or are they so stupid they dont know what shoe goes on what foot??

Ohh, and of course, Katy Couric never bothered to point out the truth either.

1. because he knows that wasn't "terror"
that was a message and he knows who sent it

and because reality only matters when it corresponds to their cynical needs

3. he just said that?
So...the attack on London doesn't count?

The British people don't count?

Or, WE haven't had an attack...so Bush is doing great...it's Tony Blair who failed?

:wtf:

4. 7 years and 10 months without an attack
by foreign terrorists during the Clinton years and we didn't have to invade and occupy another country or establish a police state here at home to do it.

"WEST PALM BEACH - A women's clinic off 45th Street that has been the target of weekly anti-abortion protests for more than a decade was closed Tuesday as federal agents investigate the cause of a fire that caused extensive damage Monday night."

9. Interesting side note
For someone that keeps talking about how we need to do things in a "bipartisan way", he should take off his RED wristband. Sends a mixed message, don't you think?

McCain, you can't say they will take the battle to us if we don't take it to them. That's silly after todays events. They ARE taking it to us, you pus-filled, bloated blow hole. They are winning because you and your ilk keep screaming fire in the theater.

You should take a lesson from blivet** and read some children's books. I recommend that you start with "The Boy Who Cried Wolf". Things didn't go too well for him, either.

Now, I want them to get that bastard off my tv and keep him off.

10. I respect John McCain but this particular repeated talking point is odious
because our allies, Spain, Turkey, Australia (by way of Bali), and now Britain, are getting hit and I find it in bad taste at the very least to not consider that.

It is arrogant rudeness for our leaders to say that an attack like this is an attack on us all and then pat themselves on the back for it not occurring in the US.

Either we are in this together or we are not, Senator.

11. Fuck you, asshole
What are people who live in Madrid and London? Members of a different species? What's so fucking wonderful about Americans that makes us worth more than other people?

I'm really, really sick of this one.

12. McCain had better pray another attack on US soil doesn't take place
Our military, to include Guard and Reserves, are going to look like fools, at the wrong place at the wrong time.

14. No, but'cher . . .
Fuck that, I won't even demean your intelligence. No, this is Bush and Blair's fault, plain and simple. Whether anyone wants to admit it. I extend my condolences to Britian and its people, and to Spain and its people.

15. That is true...
if London can be attacked, then any US city can be too. And, it will only escalate because of sharp antagonism from the States.

in Chicago? Or the train derailment in CA? The Anthrax attacks?

Not terririzin' nuff? Or not the kind of terror that Bush should be responsible for protecting us from?

22. It was in the Senate office building

And with McCain being a Senator I would assume thats where he works.

They evacuated the whole building.. Senators get a ton of mail and no one knew how many letters contained the super deadly Anthrax ... it basically scared the shit out of all of them.

But the fine senator from Arizona doesnt know or remember anything about it??
