1. Watching. I've recently become fascinated with Watergate
Reading 'Worse than Watergate' got me hooked.

4. Were you around at the time? I was in my teens
(same age as the girls in "Dick") when Nixon resigned (15).

The hearings were all that were on in the summer, and I guess that was my poitical wonk formation--I absolutely got hooked on them; of course, when you live in a tiny, rural Arizona town in summer, there weren't many options!

It felt like a sea change to me. Even at that age, I knew that the US was never gonna be the same.

Who would have guessed that I'd live to see not just worse than Tricky Dick, but MUCH worse?

When one gets nostalgic for the political mishaps of Spiro Agnew, for God's sake, one knows the nation is at risk!

8. I was a kid when he resigned
I remember my grandpa watching the hearings, but I paid little attention.

With all this going on and after reading Dean's book, I want to learn more. I ordered 'All The President's Men' after seeing the movie.

2. My. How appropriate for tonight.
Especially the mention of how the press wasn't covering the story.

Analogies falling like rain.
