I really don't.

Whatever he says will be parsed and re-parsed by everyone. The press has turned something of a corner and seem a little hungry for a change.

"Press conference" implies that he'll take questions. I can't see how that will work either -- if it's thoroughly scripted, that will be obvious. If he gets nothing but softball questions, that will be obvious.

The only thing I can see him doing, if he gets anything remotely challenging, is that jut out his chin macho "That's what I've said and that's that" routine and it won't go over very well at all, except to his adoring fans, of course, who like Nixon's will go to their own deaths thinking of him as a saint.

I just can't imagine any way this will work for him.

Honor and Integrity to the White House is going to confess that:
This "born-again" President coveted his neighbors natural resources.
This "born-again" President bore false-witness (LIED) so that he could kill innocent people.
This "born-again" President we presume knows God says "Thou shall not kill." Is responsible for killing tens of thousands.

This smacks of Whitewater all over...After the Tenet confession fails,
Rice will cry and ask forgiveness, then Powell, Rummy next?
At some point...George Fucking Bush has to answer for his crimes..I think they are beginning to get sacred and are sacrificing some lambs hoping to placate the gods.
