Anyone work for FedEx or FedEx Ground?
I'm thinking of accepting a job w/ FedEx Ground and am curious as to the corporate culture. It scored marginally on the Human Rights Campaign (GBLT rights organization) corporate survey. Seems they have added some GLBT diversity nuggets to their policies, and continue to do so, so that's good.

From what I can find on the Internets (sic) I can't see where they are a particularly nefarious corporate citizen, either, so that's good.

So, I'm wondering what it's really like to work there? Anyone have any insights/experience? Thanks!

1. you could sign up for their Joint Terrorism Task Force committee!
Check out what the ACLU has to say about FedEx.

3. Wow, that was interesting...
Thanks. This quiz reminded me I need to visit the ACLU site more often.

2. Can't be much help, but seem to recall COB & CEO Smith as a large fund-
raiser for W in the 2004 national election cycle should that recollection, if correct, be any key to the likely corporate culture.

4. Worked for one of their subcontract drivers for a year
Screwed by the subcontractor and worked to death with Fedex Ground management knowledge. Paid about 500 a week no taxes taken out (even though I was told they were) worked 10-14 hours per day under constant scrutiny and stress of getting all the packages delivered. Taught how to violate DOT regualations and fudge on work hours.

Overall a horrible work experience allthough I did lose 30 pounds and mess up my knees while I was doing it.

Great weight loss program terrible job.
