Focus on the Family reply to my letter
Let me tell you, I was so shocked, horrifed and appalled that a porn star and her producer were guests in our sacred White House at an event also attended by many moral, God-fearing Republicans, including OUR PRESIDENT, that I sent a letter to FOF. Actually, I started by sending a letter to the Family Research Council, who was ironically in the middle of a campaign at the time to Stop the Porn Industry From Expanding, but they have not yet deigned to grace me with a reply.

I must give props to FOF that they have promptly and politely replied to every letter I have ever sent them.

MY LETTER:

Who is the IDIOT in the Republican National Committee that thought it was OK for porn star Mary Carey and her "boss" to attend a fund raiser at the White House? Can you talk some sense into them? Now that it's over, Ms. Carey is talking filth about wanting to have sex with the Bush twins.

"Oh my God, his daughters!" she said. "I'd love to party with his daughters. I'd love to meet them. I totally want to have sex with them. You can write it the day after I leave here."

Despite criticism of the White House and the NRCC for including a hard-core pornographer and one of his porn stars at the event, neither Bush nor the Republicans showed any signs of hesitation at taking $5,000 from Kulkis and including the pair among the 6,000 guests – this despite Carey's appearance in such movies as "Lesbian Big Boob Bangeroo" and "Everybody Loves Big Boobies."

Surely the RNC is not so hard up for money that it has to allow people like this so near our President. I am beginning to doubt the party's commitment to morals and family values. Please address this issue. Thank you.

THEIR REPLY:

Dear Friend,

Thank you for your recent e-mail to Focus on the Family. It’s my privilege to get back to you on behalf of our staff.

We appreciate you coming to us with your concerns regarding Mary Carey’s and Mark Kulkis’ attendance at the President’s Dinner and Salute to Freedom event that was held on June 14, 2005. We trust the following information will help shed some light on this story.

From what we’ve gathered, it wasn’t the White House who sent invitations for this dinner, but the National Republican Congressional Committee. Apparently, the NRCC rented a number of outside mailing lists to create an invitation list. Unfortunately, a handful of companies involved in producing pornography inadvertently received this mailing, and we’re aware that at least two individuals (Carey and Kulkis) paid to attend. While the White House and the NRCC did not rescind any invitations to this fundraiser, we understand that they’ve said that such an oversight won’t happen again. We suggest that you contact the White House if you’d like to express your comments to them directly.

Thanks again for taking a moment to request clarification regarding this matter. May the Lord bless you in the days ahead.

Well, THAT explains everything. It was inadvertent. The White House and the NRCC are too classy to rescind an invitation. They promise it won't ever happen again. I am completely appeased. More Kool-Aid please. Mmmm, it's good.

It's quite a tricky balancing act when the religious people whose votes you need are morally outraged about an industry whose money you need. Verrrry tricky.

1. Seems they are very tolerant. Gannon is probably okay too provided
he hasn't had an abortion.

I just got back from Colorado Springs, Dobson has his own sign on I-25 for the FOF gift shop. I don't mean a billboard, I mean this is a highway department sign (green, with the white reflecting letters)that would normally show what city, etc. is at that exit.......our tax dollars!

6. Beat me to it, splat@14....
I just drove through Colo. Springs myself and noticed the very same sign. Could hardly believe my lying eyes...looks like a sign you would see for the exit to any street, town, the national Olympic Center (also in town), etc. Unbelievable.

9. Clinton was too polite
to rebuff Monica's advances, so he let her smoke his pole just so he wouldn't appear rude.

3. Focus on the Money: Hypocracy and Mendacity by the Bushel Basket
Gays Evil Gays Evil Hillary Evil Hillary Evil EVIL EVIL EVIL

GIVE US MONEY GOD LOVES US EXTRA GIVE GIVE MONEY MONEY US US

I hope you did not expect more out of this lap dog, far right, out of touch organzation of ignorant WASPS. There is nothing Christian about that group. They have an agenda and will say and do anything that gets their agenda accomplished. If it means a blind eye toward porn stars talking about sex with Shrub's daughters, GREAT! If it means teaching Americans to be greedy, homophobic, hatemongering, war loving anal retentive prudes who cannot keep their noses out of others' business, GREAT! What ever it takes, no matter how heinous, they will stoop to that level.

11. Oh, I harbor no illusions about what my little letter writing
campaign will accomplish. I just think they need to be called on the carpet for their hypocrisy every time an opportunity like this presents itself. Hopefully it will give them some concern that a few followers have gotten out of lock-step.

4. Gotta Bookmark This For Future Hypocrisy
Edited on Thu Jun-30-05 10:20 AM by KharmaTrain
Just wait for the next Democratic fundraiser where a Howard Dean or Al Gore or <shudder> Barbra Streisand speaks out. Oh, the rath of the almighty Dobsonator will come down from on high. Since Ms. Streisand stared in that evil "Fokkers" movie (which more than half of his sexually-misguided horde probably went to see) she surely represents the evil in our society and her money poisons our politics. :sarcasm: :puke:

At least you got a reply...and be assured it has been forwarded to the department of redundency department.

Yeah, Brent Bozell will reply when pigs fly...

7. Whose mailing list did they "rent".
Was it Newt Gingrich and William Bennett's black book?

10. Let me get this straight...
If I wanted to go to a Bush speaking event in my town, I'd need a special ticket, a strip search and an affidavit stating I had my Kool Aid lobotomy, signed in my own blood JUST to get it. BUT, to get into the White House fundraiser, you just have to be a donor...they just mailed invitations to any donor? No background check? No Googling, at least? So, it's safe to say that, oh, I don't know, if John Couey (murdered Jessica Lunsford, 12) donated to the NRCC, he could've been chinwagging with the muckey-mucks at dipshit central?

Groovy, got it, thanks.

12. Good thing you didn't mention
The offers Carey claims she received at the dinner. You know, the requests for 3-somes, and that nice godly Ohio lady who wants her to appear at the chain of strip clubs she owns. :D

Nothing funnier than whores distancing themselves from...whores.

13. Well, I thought about it, but I didn't get around to actually writing it,
and then the additional story about her lecherous designs on the Bush twins came out. You know, I don't remember hearing any Republican angrily demand an apology for that story. Not even their adoring father. I thought a letter expressing my offense at how the girls' reputation had been sullied would be a nice touch.

14. I think they'd rather pretend she was never really there.
Alternate reality as a lifestyle provides them with that out. Besides it would also be an acknowledgement that there as less than holy forces at work in God's Only Party (TM)

We can't have THAT now can we?

15. Thanks, tanyev for your letter and good work.
Their reply really shows their nver-ending, public exhibitions of "moral outrage" as being phony.

Their letter reveals their cunning in public relations for the Bush White House.

If this had been Bill Clinton...
