5. Just keeping in the principle that this kinda shit should be real simple.
Things are rapidly getting so bad now, between Iraq, gasoline, employment, health insurance, that it's getting increasingly hard for even the most deluded bushbot to not have the sense that the country has run off the rails and that a change is needed.

I was a bit bummed that Kerry didn't push "Are you better off now than you were 4 years ago" as his essential message.

8. Since Bush can't run for a third term, this theme works for both
parties. Or at least, it doesn't hurt the Republicans.

Anyway, tell people what you're going to do and not just that you're going to be different.

Putting people first (underscored by, "it's the economy, stupid") -- now that tells you something.

So, back to the drawing board.

9. No, because this country has not just had shrubco rule, it's had REPUB
rule for a few years now.

And the national Repub party has completely subjugated themselves to the shrubco empire, so it's the same thing now.
