It's well on it's way to turning now but when Bush's numbers go to where his Dad's did, in the 30s. What will cable news do? Pander to the 70% of us who hate Bush?

I know they have a core viewership but those same viewers HATE foreign aid and when they realize that's what the $87B is all about won't they go nuts?

O'Rielly and Rush and their ilk only make it because they play into hatred. Who they gonna hate?

2. They'll hate whoever the Republican party says.
It doesn't matter how many people vote Bush out, or how much money clearchannel/fox/msnbc lose, they'll keep doing it, trying to prevent the Democratic party from accomplishing anything, and when they do accomplish something they'll call it a disaster in the making, and when it works they'll give credit to Reagan.

5. Radio, yes, but I'm not sure about TV
It depends how thouroughly Bush is crushed. If he's crushed good and proper and a new dialogue emerges, they might have to change their tunes a bit.

4. They'll probably do better
They can rant and rail and hate against the people in power, just like they did with Clinton.

6. Agreed
Clinton was the second best thing that ever happened to Limp-dick. The first, of course, was the boil on his ass that kept him out of Viet Nam.
