Fort Bragg, absolute silence, Bush looks somewhat worried. Meh.
He’s claiming the be responsible for elections in the Palestinian territories? Correct me if I’m wrong, but didn’t they vote because Arafat died?

Fighting terrorism is a laudable longterm goal, but it’s vague and can never be completely accomplished. Let’s see some actual planning, maybe. Some criteria with which we can leave Iraq. A lack of exit strategy was one of the things that hurt us in ‘Nam.
More polite applause as he finishes. Even as they stand for the “proper” ovation, it’s the slow cascading rise of troops who don’t give much of a shit about what he said.
Now the speech is over and it’s the typical softball puffy shithead corrupt spineless news analysis. I fucking hate CNN.
