Camejo apparently will be barred from upcoming debates
From prorev:

CALIFORNIA GREEN CANDIDATE TO BE BARRED FROM DEBATES

GREENS WEEK - The League of Women Voters, CNN, LA Times, and San Diego Union plan to bar Peter Camejo, Green candidate for Governor of California, from three upcoming debates.

(that's all there is--not that it isn't plenty disgusting if true)

1. He has been too good and too smart in these debates. For anyone watching

this guy has been great. It has been so helpful to have two voices from the left. He also helps cast Bustamante as a moderate.

It just fucking figures they couldn't let this guy on the stage calling out Arnorld for the shit stooge that he is.

2. On What Basis?
do they even provide a reason? I thought candidates with less support were included.

3. I've no idea -- I tried to find more but couldn't
If you can find something, I'll hope you'll post it.

Whenever I see something like that, it really reinforces my feeling that The Fix Is In and we need to have a virtual revolution before everything degrades to the point we need a physical one.

5. "Barred"?

Don't think so. In naming those media outlets, methinks that Camejo is being left out from the debates (like the vast majority of candidates) because his poll numbers were not enough to get IN the debate.

Because the field was so huge, the first debate was set up so that only those who "qualified" via high enough numbers from polls taken by those organizations could participate.

I suspect we are dealing with the same situation here.

Found this from CommonDreams
http://www.commondreams.org/headlines03/0905-03.htm

"More good news came Thursday for Camejo, as well as independent commentator Arianna Huffington and Republican Peter Ueberroth.

Despite not having high enough poll numbers to merit an invitation to the California Broadcasters Association's Sept. 24 showdown -- Arnold Schwarzenegger's only scheduled debate appearance -- all three 'will most likely be invited, said Kevin Coe, an association spokesman."

Will have to find out more about this -- he DIDN'T qualify, but may have been allowed in anyway. If Arianna is there, then they will have to explain why she didn't qualify but WAS invited.

6. He was in every single debate so far, including the one with the empty
seat for Arnold.

If the Dems can have 9 or 10 on a stage, then California could stand to hear from McClintock, Bustamante, Arnold, Arianna, and Camejo.

(In fact, Ueberoth was in the last one, and now he has dropped out, so Camejo should be able to take his place).

I think it's the case that the media wants this to be a circus and the Greens don't contribute to the circus atmosphere. In fact, they do the opposite. The media also wants to portray the democrats as far left and out of touch with the middle, and having anyone farther left doesn't help them do that.
