28. That's what makes a horserace

I try to listen to Franken every day. He does a great job of folding the information into entertainment,
much the same as putting your dog's pills in a hunk of cheese.
He daily brings in people who are highly-qualified to speak
about the subject they're discussing, similar to the way The Newshour operates.

He also does some very funny skits, great impersonations,
and though he's often serious as as spot on an x-ray, he dosn't harangue
and endlessly repeat himself the way Randi often does.

I do agree with what she says almost all the time, but really,
how many times in an hour do you need to hear the same point
hammered over and over. I usually have to turn her off after a couple of hours.

I also don't particularly like her talking over callers, and usually at twice the volume, and she does it
to both people she disagrees with and also jumps in on someone who is about finish a statement, saying
pretty much what the caller is trying to say.

I understand a good many people calling in aren't eloquent, erudite or well informed,
especially the blue-brains, but yelling at them just turns me off.
It's not discussion at that point - it's bullying,
especially since she's going to have the last word anyway.
I can see cutting someone off who's just being obnoxious or has,
what Prof. Nicolas Capaldi called "invincible ignorance,"
but that's no excuse to be rude.
