Rationale for not holding elections in Iraq, yet.....

..Can we agree that France was instrumental in securing Independence for the American Colonists? That without France's military intervention, that event in history would have been doomed to failure?
..If we can agree to that, why is it that France did not impose an "Occupation Authority" to "help" the "not yet ready for democratic rule" American Colonists?

I think Greg Palast has exposed why there cannot be elections held in Iraq yet.....Because no democratically elected Iraqi official would be willing to hand over the state to private enterprise. Thus a puppet regime must be put in place first to do all of the "privatizing"...then hold "democratic" elections....
