Three Little Hispanic Boys -vs- One Blond Girl
Now I am sitting here wondering why they did not initiate the "Amber Alert" for these three boys. On TV the blond girl gets all the air time and the little boys just a mention.

This is sad and pitiful. I am more concerned about those three little boys than I am about the grown up girl. Why aren't they?

3. Three lost boys in New Jersey (Camden)?
have been gone since Wednesday. Dogs picked up the trail of one of them by the River. Looking for a known criminal in the area....

4. Missing from Camden...
...as you prob know, a desperately poor city in New Jersey. All the boys are under 10, I am fairly certain. It's been all over our local news, but I am just outside of Philadelphia, PA. They apparently just went missing one afternoon - vanished without a trace. One is mentally handicapped and needs daily meds, too.

5. Apparently the cops considered it, but
decided against issuing an Amber alert because they felt the circumstances didn't warrant it.

Last night, CBS News, to their credit, counted up the minutes the Aruba blond and Runaway Crazy Woman got, compared to the three boys.

8. I am wondering what warrants the "Amber Alert" when you have
three kids missing under any circumstances. Now they are finding the scent of one by the river and that is not good....

9. WHY didn't it warrant it?
If anything happens to those boys, those idiots should be sued... teach 'em a lesson.

What was the tally of minutes? Do you recall?

20. I wish them luck finding a lawyer.
Camden, NJ is a pretty poor city, they'll be lucky if they don't bankrupt themselves buying caskets.

24. This just gets worse and worse...
I hope there's some well meaning lawyer who will force the PD to at least ADMIT they made a mistake, and forget any financial reward... all that matters is that they are shamed... to hopefully ensure it doesn't happen again...

Holy God...

13. Don't remember the exact numbers, but
the boys clearly received only a fraction of what the others did during a comparative time period (they used morning talk shows and, I think, cable news from the previous day). The CBS reporter made it clear that the difference was unfair, and said race and class was obviously part of the reason.

They didn't explain why the cops didn't think an Amber Alert was warranted, though.

I'll bet if the talking heads can't come up with something besides Iraq to talk about this weekend these boys might just break through the missing kid color barrier.

More than 100 searchers, including police officers, volunteers, firefighters, helicopters, dive teams and bloodhounds, were looking for the three children.

29. Did not do one in the Jessica Lundford case

Amber Alerts have strange rules. You have to have a car or be able to point to another person before they will call and Amber Alert.

Nothing strange about this case, no car or perp.

37. This story was a pathetic attempt at token equality for the media
"See! See! We're not racist! Really!" Then the corporate media whores can always refer back to this case to deflect criticism and go back to covering well to do, good looking missing white kids again.

The story was very much reported as an afterthought, and as a sideshow, rather half-heartedly.

It will take a lot more than this one story to convince me that the media has changed its ways.
