While watching the Daily Show rerun today, I have to ask.
Did Mary Carey actually mean what she said about why she is a Republican? If so, she brings new meaning to the word dumb. That sketch was funny albiet creepy. I was glad to see Howard Dean there.
wrap my head around the fact that she was for real.
It was perfect that she and her manager(?) went on Jon's Daily Show and shouted out that she was a republican cause they have the money or whatever the glitz is that she covets.
She was the most excellent straight man for Stephen Colbert..I was laughing my Democratic ass off!

I wonder if she's just being a capitalist. She obviously wants to advance her career so why not be a republican? On her interview with Keith Olbermann the first time she was saying how the republicans know how to party and a lot of them were drunk by the end of the night and she was getting offers for threesomes and one Congressman's sister had a strip bar and she was offered to appear there and oil men wanted to give her money and stuff. She said on the Daily show how the republicans are "popular" now and getting the money and connections. So she could be just a capitalist. I betcha if it was the other way around she'd probably be a democrat too. When she was asked about why she was a republican she didn't say she believed what they did. If she wrote a "tell all" book I know I'd buy.
16. I think she's great for our side. Personally, I think both she and the
porn producer were putting down the Republicans big time, and in the process getting more publicity for themselves than they could in any other way. I say let's see more of them on TV not less. I'd love to be in the room with my staunch Repub parents when these two proudly say they are Republicans because they want to be rich. That was priceless. Go, Mary Carey.
