Is anyone else tired of waiting for Kerry to say something about the DSM?
I mean how long has it been since he told us he was seriously considering making a bit deal out of it in Washington?
Why does he leave Dean to do all the attacking?
If the man was supposed to be our president he should start acting like it, I mean more than half the electorate voted for him, that does mean that he has a huge amount of "political capital".
What is he afraid of, losing voters?
I think he takes too much time to prepare himself on many issues including this one, not to mention election fraud.
If he joined Dean or backed him up on some issues then he would make a huge difference.
Now he just seems to whip up everybody's enthusiasm and then do nothing.
When we were discussing election fraud people said that as a lawyer he took his time to build up a case but since Nov we haven't heard anything about the issue except from his wife.
If he had come out publicly and screamed about the DSM and election fraud the MSM would have to report it and even if he had been attacked by the GOP it would have raised awareness of the issues among people.

1. No, but I am tired of people asking him to say something
when NO senator has done nothing.

BTW, Kerry has a statement backing Dean on Ohio.

2. I think Kerry is a real strange case....
He does everything behind the scenes. We'll finally hear about DSM when he and all the senators who signed the letter come forward.

Kerry is part of the head of senate foreign relations committee....It seems like this guy was part of so much corruption and coverup, its taking him over a year to seperate himself from it. He really knows how to say the right words but getting any action from him takes weeks and weeks.....There has just always been something very held back about him ruffling feathers.

4. He should be striking the iron while it's still hot.
delivering the killer punch, he knows he has the evidence to back up his claims, what is he waiting for?
Maybe he is embarrassed because he got fooled like all the others although if he had any independent thoughts he would clearly have been aware that the war was started on false evidence.
That he voted for the war clearly incapacitates him for the job of leading the party on this issue.
Millions of people in the US knew that the administration was lying and yet someone sitting on the senate foreign relations committee didn't. Give me a break.
I will get flamed for this but actions speak louder than planning and by taking so much time he appears like a decoy until people forget about the issue.
Not to mention Edwards now where is he in all this? Probably back to his pre-election obscurity.

7. Howard Dean is the exact opposite...
He hits hard and fast, all the time and constantly fights. This is the only guy who should run the DNC as far as I'm concerned.

10. He is good at his job at the DNC, I agree
but he does not always run as hard and fast as some would him to.

27. Dean did not quit at all. Where did you hear this horsecrap?
Dean is the official chairman of the DNC. He did not quit, that's more bullshit shoveled from fox news. And he is always on the offensive, doing a damn good job.

6. Why ? Are you a Kerry apologist?
Looking at his record since the elections he has done so little and is worthy only of the strongest criticism.
With the "political capital" that he had achieved during the election he could clearly have done a lot more to fight the admin instead of just planning his attacks.
I thought the man was a warrior and not only a lawyer, but he seems to me that he is nothing but a wimp, thinking only about his political carrier and not the American people.
Some said that to question the election results would have been political suicide, well you know what, he could have jumped into it, taken a gamble and I can promise you that he would not have fallen flat on his face.

8. You may want to take a look at his record since the election
He may not have done things the way YOU wanted him to, but he has done things that are compelling to millions of Americans.

11. Yes but in this case it does no good....
Taking years to build strong cases do no good. Strike hard and fast while the iron's hot or else lose the footing. That's what Dean proves and it proves we have to take action now, and not stand by ever again on this.

Kerry takes too long in times of crisis. Kerry I believe has been affected by Biden's "slow turning policies" of collecting a case file.

Joe Biden I believe is one of the most corrupt democrats there is possibly and follows Lieberman around on every action. Biden heads up the committee and is bad for everything imo and I think Kerry has always followed him in lockstep.

12. You must be kidding.
"Compelling" what the hell?
Do you realize the situation we are in?
We are heading for disaster unless this administration is removed very quickly.
That is the urgency, nothing else matters right now, nothing.
So all his talk of saving the poor and disadvantaged won't amount to much when the country is in the middle of the worst second Great Depression.

and not only Kerry, I guess.

Even those who give a speech once in a while do nothing, as can be seen by the DSM situation.

of some people here to keep hammering on John Kerry.

"I thought the man was a warrior...he is nothing but a wimp" you say

I mean whats the point here, HMMMM?

We need him alongside Dean and Conyers.
We need his political weight.
That is why I'm angry at him.

17. Old campaign afterthoughts...
Lots of people bought into the illusion that he was a quick chomping at the bit warrior or something else. I'm pretty certain this guy has always been the slow, methodical calculated tactician who knows how to say the right things.

He gives off a certain persona but doesn't live up to it. May well be one of his biggest problems since people buy that persona usually.

14. It takes a long time....
to research, write, edit and publish a 1,986 page dissertation of his thoughts concerning the DSM. Kerry is not one who strikes quickly, as was evidenced by his poor campaign for the Presidency. He'll release his thoughts well after the situation has completely atrophied, as usual

32. Kerry is working with the Florida-voting rights team?
He is working with them on fraud and restoring the system in Florida!?!???!?

90% of the time we don't a hear a thing about what Kerry is doing and that's the main problem for people. He does things behind the scene and doesn't call any media attention, and when nobody even knows what he's doing that can be what leads to suspicion.

It isn't right for someone to keep so private. Please ask him whenever you get the chance, to see what he's doing on DSM now.

34. DSM vs. the "Runaway Bride"
Good point re: Kerry's lack of response. But what about the other pols? And, what about the media??!! I've heard more about Oprah's Hermes Dept. store debacle and that dam "Runaway (Lunatic) Bride" than the DSM!! (By the way, I wish the Runway Bride would run away -- again!! It's amazing how the media buries the most important issues of our time and runs with these tabloid stories.

Kerry confidantes say senator is seeking others to cosign letter on Downing minutes
Steve Bagley

Two confidants of Sen. John Kerry (D-MA) told RAW STORY Tuesday that he is privately seeking other senators to cosign a letter to the Senate Intelligence Committee on the Downing Street minutes.

“Kerry has been enlisting other senators to sign onto a letter to the intelligence committee seeking answers to the Downing Street memo,” said one, “so Americans can trust that security decisions are driven by facts and responsible intelligence, not by political calculation.”

This statement comes after nearly two weeks of silence from the senator, who previously promised to “raise the issue” of the Downing Street minutes in the Senate chamber.

but yesterday was frustrating. I don't get all the hoopla over his speech; Why go after Rove? Sure the guys a major turd, but why not go for * over the DSM?! It made not a lick of sense-the last thing they will do is get rid of Rove-I hate to say it but they are probably laughing their asses off. Kerry needed to go after * and hit him hard about the DSM! I'm really starting to think that they have something on him and many others in congress....
