Gas Prices in your area?
In the San Diego area, a gallon now goes for $2.40 on average, up 8 cents from last week.

With the price of crude going up again, I think we'll be seeing $3.00/gallon within a month.

Anyway, what's a gallon going for in your area?

17. $2.27 in Northern Indiana.
Saw $2.08 in Indianapolis the other day. Why so much more up here? Steve Buyer is our Congress-Critter, can't he use his BFEE conexions?

Or do they figure if we're stupid enough to vote for Buyer and Our Bitch Mitch and Shrubby, then we're too stupid to realize we're getting raped at the pump?

23. $2.14 is the cheapest gas in Harrison AR
but some stations have it at 2.16 and 2.17. Harrison has basically two gas distributorships which alwasys raise their prices at the same time to the same amount. Even though Harrison gas stations get a discount from state fuel taxes (supposedly so they can be cheaper and compete with stations over the state line; Harrison's county is on the border with MO), they traditionally keep their gas prices higher that stations in places like Russellville, which is in the middle of the state.

In a trip East last month, I only found a couple of places in PA that had higher gas prices (for that time) than Harrison.

BTW, the price over the line in MO is $2.05

24. $5.34 in Sweden
I recently moved back to Sweden to get away from bushco and while the prices seemed to get high in the US it's nothing compared to over here. I'm thinking of buying a moped instead of a car to get around with.

26. Was 90 cents (Cdn) a liter in Toronto a few days ago...
then shot down to around 80 cents a liter. If I've got my exchange rates and metric conversions right, this translates into $2.88 U.S. a gallon down to $2.56 a gallon. It's a pretty startling drop considering the jump in oil prices.
