Must post positive messages only...constructive messages...must post rosey
Must not comment upon the paucity of action by some Dem leaders on the DSM...

Must not comment upon the wisdom of Durbin's apology...

Must not comment on holding our Democratic leadership to a higher standard...

Otherwise, to do any of the above will raise the ire of some DUers (head in sand faction), who will then tattle to the moderators.

"Constructive posts" are only welcome, which apparently means ONLY anti-Repuke sentiments and NO criticism of any Dem inaction or political mistakes.

To whom are we being "constructive," by just bashing the Repukes????

2. Well, it seems that the republicans are already doing
Edited on Wed Jun-22-05 11:51 PM by Kurovski
a good enough job of trashing us as it is, and ignoring the progress we've made.

All these Dems are fighting the Corporate media's take on every subject you mention.

The R's control Washington.

Durbin's apology wasn't about his original assertion, if you read it closely.

There is movement taking place, more Republican voters turn from Bush and even their party every day.

What is it some of the kid's say? Ah, yes, "patience, Grasshopper."

3. if it was a discussion that would be one thing, but what is
Edited on Wed Jun-22-05 11:57 PM by seabeyond
happening on this board is mere trashing with no constructive attributes at all to it. i am all for looking at something, seeing the good and bad.

for a handful of posters to go on every kerry thread, when it is being discussed that he is doing something and a handful of people go on and on and on about kerry being a wuss pussy cunt whore......does nothing, has never done anything a loser, yada yada yada. it isnt even factual, it isnt honest, it is garbage, the same fed shit rush mouths

where is the productivity of such a message. teh sole intent is to be destruptive and high jack the thread

4. OK, I'll bite. How many days/weeks/months do we give our Dem Senators?
Not singling out Kerry, but how long should the grassroots wait to see DEFINITIVE action on the DSM by our Dem Senators? And, do you think that the relative absence of MAJOR Dem politicans hammering on the subject is helping keep the DSM fresh in the media?

Also, I don't think the rash of anti-Kerry threads would even be happening if he hadn't gotten the hopes up of many around here by making tantizing statements on the DSM and then fading/avoiding further media statements on the subject. We are THIRSTY for politicans like Conyers to take up the mantle/evidence of the DSM, so I can empathize with some DUer's impatience.

How's that for constructive?

it is good. i could sit here and read it. i am also sitting here thinking about what you said. it is also after 12 and i was on the way to bed, but this was so good i actually want to try to conjure up some brain power to interact.

i was personally disappointed by the dnc voter fraud report they sent out last night. so i have been thinking about that one. the dsm, if he is doing as conyers did should be about another week. that is about the same amount of time conyers worked on getting signatures.

i dont know what everyone is going to be doing. i know we are THIRSTY for politicians to stand up and speak out. i mean fuck, look what happened to durbin and i am assuming media is having a huge party in dissing him, i dont watch media. i would like to see him stand up and say, you are all assholes. i take it back.

but you post is a 100x's more productive than many that have come out of late.

i watched the senate today on the energy stuff. the dems are sending in amendment after amendment trying to stop the repugs or fix it a little. i listened to them speak. they are trying. they are working. i just cannot blanket diss them
