No spin, no show as Weldon, O'Reilly squabble

It doesn’t happen often, but when one of Bill O’Reilly’s guests fail to appear for an interview, the conservative talk-show host throws a prime-time hissy fit -- and he eternally banishes that guest from Fox News Channel’s "TheO’Reilly Factor."
Case in point: Monday’s no-show by U.S. Rep. Curt Weldon.

Weldon, R-7, of Thornbury, was supposed to promote his new book, "Countdown to Terror," during Monday’s show, but apparently got tied up in a "prolonged" meeting with the U.S. Secretary of Energy and a series of votes on the House floor.
So instead of promulgating the alleged failures of the Central Intelligence Agency -- he says in his book that Iran is plotting a nuclear terrorist attack that would dwarf Sept. 11 -- Weldon got a televised lashing from the conservative icon.
"Well, I have some bad news to report," O’Reilly told his legion of viewers. "Our guest didn’t show up. Congressman Curt Weldon, Republican from Pennsylvania, is supposed to be here right now in front of you. He didn’t show up. He didn’t call. He didn’t do anything."
O’Reilly continued: "He’s the second guest in almost nine years not to show up. We only had two. The first one was Danny Glover, the crazy actor. Now he’s crazy, Danny, so we expected that. But Weldon, this is grossly irresponsible."
