Man, House Dems are really in a groove
Edited on Mon Jun-20-05 04:28 PM by Heaven and Earth
Amendment for a report on Iraq and getting out from Pelosi (out of order, but still...)

amendment on not spending defense funds on Uzbekistan (from Doggett)

amendment on not spending funds on a new war without authorization from congress (from DeFazio of Oregon)

They know what's up!

on C-Span now.

1. Doggett amendment died
but what a great amendment it was.

DeFazio had a good bit of evidence there and got it into the record. Gonzales told him that blivet** didn't NEED them to declare war, he could do what ever he wanted under the guise of "protecting" the homeland.

Castration with the rusty lid of a tuna can is too good for this group!

3. Wow!
"amendment on not spending funds on a new war without authorization from congress (from DeFazio of Oregon)"

So I take it they're privy to the Iran rumors. This is good.

4. At least they are on the record with these amendments
even if they don't pass. DeFazio was hot under the collar too. Glad to see it!

6. I saw him yelling more at a Dem actually
At John Murtha a D from PA, he seemed to be getting pissed at. I thought that was strange.

8. Well, you never know who has made a deal with who these days
All the backroom/coat room deals are hard to follow. Who knows what he exchanged a vote on this amendment for?

Where I live, we have a town meeting form of government. Deals like these would be considered as an open meeting law violation. Why does that rule NOT apply to these guys? Why is so much of the process allowed to happen outside of the public eye? It's like a boil on our butts because we can't tell who is in bed with who and who is enjoying it!

ARRGGGH! Those were worthwhile amendments!
