In light of the Downing Street Memo
We must remember Dr. David Kelly and how he said that the intelligence was being fixed.

1. Here is some information - I did not know about him
Dr David Kelly is the first British citizen whose sudden, unexpected and violent death has been denied an inquest. Three weeks after Dr Kelly's body was found, Lord Falconer ordered that the inquest into his death be adjourned indefinitely and subsumed into a public inquiry by invoking section 17a of the Coroner's Act 1988.

The section is designed to avoid duplication of inquiry in cases of multiple deaths where the cause of death can, to some extent, be assumed from the outset. But Dr Kelly's was a solitary death coming amid a political storm concerning doubts over the government's case for war with Iraq, and its cause required rigorous investigation. The Hutton inquiry had no power to call a jury, subpoena witnesses or cross-examine them under oath.

6. Thanks for posting that, I have been thinking about it alot

Why the whistleblower person(s) providing the minutes/memos now didn't provide them as part of the inquiry into Dr. Kelly's death?

If that person felt strongly about the truth getting out, wasn't that (the inquiry) a great forum for getting the truth out? Wasn't that the place for the voice and attention to be heard?

Why remain silent when you had these memos that supported the BBC and Dr. Kelly? What is the difference between saying intelligence has been "Sexed up" and saying the intelligence is being fixed around the policy?

IMO, although people expressed concern about the post war situation, they actually were afraid to object to the war itself b/c winning the peace was not a concern that others would care about. No person wanted to stick their neck out. And, although the concerns were real, because one could not point to hard evidence of a problem, people were unwilling to speculate about "what if things go wrong or don't go well."

Move forward to the present, things are going very very badly. Ask yourself, why now?

These memos are being released IMO by a very high person in the UK who seeks to protect the UK and distance the UK from the US in the fallout. It is a more deliberate release of information by the UK. I think that there are more memos and evidence to come.
