Four Lights: Beating a Brain-dead Horse
(I'm updating the posts on my new political weblog here as well, so you all can read the information and be aware of my site. :) I hope this isn't considered spam.)

18/05 Entry, www.fourlights.org

The media circus surrounding Terri Schaivo and her family was bad enough, but at least it's over now, right? She's dead (through means less humane than if active euthanasia was legal, but that's not the topic right now), right-wingers hate her grieving husband, and the country died a little inside from having paid attention to the tragic made tawdry.

But it's over now!

Right?

Not if John Bush (I'm not calling him by his folksy fucking play-to-the-crowd initials) has anything to say to it. The Flordia governor has announced that the circumstances surrounding Schaivo's collapse and subsequent brain damage will be investigated. Apparantly, Michael Schaivo took too long between finding his wife and calling 911. Sure, if you find your wife collapsed on the floor, time gets hazy and you don't always think straight. Sure, over the years it's quite possible your memories change slightly and you can't always recall the except same scene the exact same way. But what matters is that John Bush can wring Terri Schaivo's corpse for just a few more minutes of appeasement to his moralistic base.

And they think we're evil.

1. good entry...
And Bush knows he is wasting the SA time... From the Tampa Tribune

Bush seemed to acknowledge the investigation may not pan out. In his letter to McCabe, he wrote, ``I understand that these events took place many years ago, and that you may not be able to collect all the relevant records and physical evidence. ... The unanswered questions may be unanswerable, but the attempt should be made.''

Right - Terri would expect nothing less.
Doofus brother of dumber than dirt.

4. Let The Corporate Media Play This Up
No need to rehash what the polls said about people's feeling about the Schaivo circus, but if these goons want to keep this thing going, it's fine with me. Let them yammer away!

This story makes almost everyone queezy. The macabre passion play on the media exposed the religious fundies for being the irrational nuts many of us knew they were and now introduced them to millions who didn't. Note that the slide in Bunnypant's ratings began when this mess began and the fall-out has dovetailed into other areas now. That teflon got scuffed good by this...is these morons want to keep pandering to their fringe and look like fools to the rest of the country. Fine with me!!

We've long passed the point of silly here...bypassing absurd and sublime along the way...as the cut and dried nature of what happened to Mrs. Schaivo and the subsequent inquests, hearings and now an autopsy have just made their off-the-wall positions look even goofier.

This is a great issue to show how out of touch Repugnicans are...and how John Bunnypants is even worse than his brother...he actually has some functioning braincells. Hopefully the fine folks of Florida have had enough of him and Cruella Harris.

Very good writing...cheers!
