One of the great scientists of the Information Age, Shannon, came
up with a theory of Information that makes it possible to understand the basic methods of the Rove Machine. That theory says that Pure Information, the type we need is an ideal that does not exist. It always comes blended with noise. It is possible to extract that information from the noise using statistical methods. As the noise increases, it becomes progressively more difficult to extract the information.

As more chaos is added to the system, unaware observers may mistake the noise for the true information and those who know what they want can be sure that the information they need has reached them without being compromised.

This is why the Rove machine makes sure that people are distracted by a multitude of noises, even issues on which they lose, as part of their drive to get their true agenda accomplished.

Couple this with insecurity, economic and political, and their other tools like fixing elections, they now have the people by their proverbial balls.

1. Good point
It is not for nothing that they call the right wing noise machine "the mighty Wurlitzer". For more information on "information theory" and Claude Shannon see

3. I studied Statistical Mechanics in College and was amazed by Shannon's
insights. It is even better when you use statistcal mechanics to understand Shannon's arguments. The mathematics,at once simple and powerful, is a true work of art( sorry, science).
