U.S. National Debt: Just so we all know what's what...
Edited on Thu Jun-16-05 03:24 PM by jokerman93
The Outstanding Public Debt as of 16 Jun 2005 at 08:13:02 PM GMT is:

$7,803,958,260,394.55

That's seven trillion, eight hundred three billion, nine hundred fifty eight million, two hundred sixty thousand, three hundred ninety four dollars and fifty five cents.

The Heritage foundation says that the "recession" caused it. Stuff like the war boondoggle or tax relief for the idle rich might have had some effect as well.

How far America has come since 2001.

:-)

5. Not at all
Everyone knows it's sound financial practice to consistently spend far more than you produce and to borrow money from potential adversaries such as China.

It's market forces man! It's all blue skies from here on out. The economy has turned the corner. The economy is robust. What could possibly be wrong with it? Energy and arms industries are booming. Prices are low at Walmart. America is strong and free. Just keep waving that flag like an idjut and listening to Toby Kieth. This is the greatest Goddamn country in the world.

3. If the debt first topped $1 trillion under the Gipper, more than $6 T
of the present debt lays solely at the feet of the Gipper, Bush I and W for whom the 22nd Amendment must be repealed so he can be president for life or until the Republic collapses in debt. So it's not four more years, four more years, it's 25 or more years, 25 more years.
