You, Mr. Limbaugh, are guilty. .
I listen to your hate filled radio show and all the spin you put on different issues. I tuned into your show today and heard you announce that Guantanamo Bay is fine. You spouted your talking points about how we were not treated to air conditioning when held as a P.O.W. in other countries. You espoused how lucky these people are with their wonderful meals. You even had the gall to play an interview stating how well these prisoners are being treated.

You state that we are pointing fingers and saying the happenings at Guantanamo are the reason everyone is up in arms when in reality it was one little 'erroneous article in Newsweek'. You said how it is all the fault of Newsweek and NOT the government.

You said that we could not possibly give all of these prisoners a lawyer because it would so tie up the system. And if we were to bring them over here it would tie up everything even more!

I will now respond to you, sir. Let us look at all of the evidence. Two human rights groups have said that mistreatment, if not torture, has been going on over at Guantanamo. The Newsweek article was not wrong. Instead, one of the Newsweek sources was wrong. The Newsweek article had many sources and the story itself is not in question. In fact, stories that have come from three sources (Newsweek, The Red Cross and Amnesty International) all have similar stories from different prisoner sources.

Are you now a conspiracy terrorist, Mr. Limbaugh? Are you trying to tell us that not only did the prisoners all get together and concoct a story to get the US government in trouble, but that Newsweek, The Red Cross and Amnesty International were all complicit in this conspiracy as well? This is the only way what you are saying could possibly be true. What common cause do Newsweek, The red Cross and Amnesty International have to try and bring down the US? Do you know how crazy this sounds, Mr. Limbaugh?

Let me explain something to you Mr.Limbaugh, it may be OK with you that these people are held without lawyers but what say do you have with whether a lawyer will take their case and clog up our system?
I would be glad to start a defense fund as I am sure the Iraqis would as well so that these people can get representation.

What you are essentially saying is that they are to be tried under our laws but none of the legal rules, that would benefit them, apply to them. I cry foul on the prisoner at Guantanamo who recently managed to get a lawyer and the lawyer was told that the prisoner would need to plead guilty to the charges but was not allowed to find out what the charges are.

Our legal system says that people are assumed innocent until proven guilty and I never noticed an asterisk next to this stating that it only applies when we say it applies. How can these people even prove they are innocent if they are not given the tools to do so? When they are not even told on what charges they are being held?

Mr. Limbaugh, do you also think that the people held at the Japanese Internment camps were also all guilty? That was another fine chapter in this nation's history.

Mr. Limbaugh, I can not go any further without giving you what you are giving to the human beings held at Guantanamo - a sentence without you being able to address the sentence in any way shape or form. I pronounce that you, Mr. Limbaugh, are traitorous and guilty of treason. I find that you know the truth but are only interested in perpetuating the propaganda that has been forced down the throats of this good country. You spread lies that enforces falsehoods and puts our country in jeopardy. You say no torture is going on to the detriment of this fine nation. Retribution is being sought since the representatives of the US are not treating these humans with dignity. Jihads are placed on our country and it's people. If you were a true patriot you would spread the truth and put an end to the reign of tyranny brought on by the Bush establishment. You could have stopped this, Mr. Limbaugh but you choose to put human lives in danger - lives of foreigners as well as US natives. This is treason, sir. You are found guilty and sentenced to hell in this lifetime and the next. May ghosts of people tortured to death haunt you in your sleep. May ghosts of innocent women and children visit you when you look in the mirror. May the deaths of people trying to protect their country come to rest squarely on your shoulders until the end of time.

You have been complicit in this governments effort to commit war atrocities and when this criminal government's reign is terminated, you are found to be guilty as the rest. You are a shame to this country and every hero who strives to defend it. How dare you defile our country. YOU ARE HEREBY FOUND GUILTY.

1. He's on the AFN Airwaves
Isn't it nice to know that was broadcast in Iraq & Afghanistan (Armed Forces Radio)? Rush is also selling "Club Gitmo" t-shirts. Jokes about it being the new vacation hot spot for muslims. So when Rumsfeldt blames the press for our bad image worldwide, TAKE RUSH OFF AFN!!!!!!

20. Club-Gitmo T-Shirts???
Uh... can you say WAR PROFITEER??? At least fat boy has his talking points in order. John Gibson said on Faux News that Gitmo is a "Great American Institution". He then interviewed Sen. Jeff Sessions of Alabama who called it a "wonderful facility, in a great spot right on the water". These assholes have gone off the deep end. Me thinks they are trying a little too hard to defend themselves...

24. Yeah Gitmo sounds great.....
Wonder when travel agents are going to start taking reservations from people to go there? Gourmet meal, air conditioning, right on the water......Wow! If it is great, let's put all of the Bush regime over there for a month and see how they like it.

2. Limbaugh, Bush, Cheney, Rove, Rumsfeld, et al.

The fact that they are war criminals is self evident. But we all know that these people will never stand trial (whether in this country or in the International Court in the Hague).

The fact that the ruling class lives by different rules from the rest of us belies the principal upon which this country was founded.

These people will walk away free, rich, and with a sense of righteousness.

They are among the worst international criminals that have existed in our lifetimes. Yet, the degree of moral outrage in this country is virtually non-existent.

My attitude is starting to become "Fuck the American public. They deserve whatever they get."

I find it incredible that I would have ever considered typing that last sentence. It's true that it's only a segment of people that are going along with the current insanity. But every now and then, I hit a day like today on which I blame us all for not having stopped them.

11. Yep, the amount of 'hillbilly heroin' he was getting with
'script shopping' would indicate he was also a supplier, maybe to politically connected republicans, who can say.

I think Rush should get the same treatment he recommended to other addicts, go to jail for a very long time.

I think he needs a 'timeout'.

12. All those RW talkshow hosts are laughing it up over
the treatment of prisoners at Gitmo. One of the best examples of the interrogation techniques is by a national guard soldier who volunteered to let them put him in a hood and sent him into one of those 'rooms'. You might be able to goggle because I've never been able to make the link work: soldier beaten at Guantanamo in Interrogation training. They slammed his head into the floor so hard and the kneeled on it etc. He now suffers from such uncontrollable seizures that he will never be the same. They covered it all up. No punishment for the man who did this to him. Just think of what they have been doing to the detainees. I'm positive more than one has gotten the celestial discharge.

13. OMG! That was brutal!!!
I hope this link works for people:

http://www.wsws.org/articles/2004/may2004/guan-m29.shtml

<snip>

The four MPs in the training session, from the 303rd Military Police Company based in Jackson, Michigan, did not know the man in their custody was not really a prisoner. When Baker began resisting their orders and hid under his bunk, they beat and choked him and slammed his head against the floor.

The four guards were practicing the techniques employed by the Emergency Response Force (ERF) at Camp Delta, the most brutal of the Guantanamo facilities. Released prisoners have told harrowing stories about violent abuse by the ERF, which was called in to administer violent punishment for prisoners who resisted interrogation. The unit’s acronym became a verb in the parlance of the camp, as prisoners were threatened with “ERFing” if they did not cooperate.

<snip>

Yes, all fun and fraternity pranks over there! I can not believe what they are doing in our name.

18. What comes around, goes around.
When a GI is captured (I suspect this has happened many times, but is blacked out) the captors have the implicit okay from the US goverment. That is why the Geneva conventions were written in the first place.

Why is it that the republicans are so afraid to hold our country to high moral standards? Oh wait, it's because they're all a bunch of cowardly, immoral facists.
