My letter to Glenn Beck

Dear Mr. Beck,

I caught part of the 11am hour of your show today on my way to work. I usually listen to you on my way in - it is my "irratainment".

I heard you talking about the detainees at Gitmo and how you feel they have been treated "humanely". You minimized several instances of alleged abuse occurring at the camp.

If you truly feel that the Gitmo detainees are being treated "humanely", why don't you prove it? Here's what I have in mind.

Present yourself into my custody for one week. Allow me and my buddies to treat you exactly the way the Gitmo detainees have been treated. I promise you I will only use tactics that have been revealed in various reports and in the media. If it is no big deal, then you should have no problems getting through the week with no physical or psychological effects. You can go back to your show and tell your listeners how easy it was and what a wonderful life these detainees live.

Seven days is all I'm asking for. Some of the detainees have been held for years. If the interrogation methods are not torture, you should prove it by putting yourself in their shoes. Of course, I will ask you to sign waivers that you are doing this of your own free will, and you will absolve me and my friends from any damages you might feel you have suffered.

Come on Glenn, you think it is no big deal, right? Put your money where your mouth is.

1. I couldn't bring myself to treat another human in that fashion.

Even though you can make a compelling argument that Beck doesn't fall in the aforementioned category.

2. I used to have a bit of a soft spot for Glen

but now I think he might be a bigger asshole than any of those RW radio pigs. I heard him ridiculing people on minimum wage the other day and I could hardly stand listening to it.

But he is such an ass.

It drives my wife crazy, but I like to listen to the other side.

7. That's the thing, he is pretty funny

and his show is pretty fresh most of the time. How anyone can think Hanitty is funny is beyond me and Rush is getting to that point also.
