Edited to clarify what was their stuff, what is mine.
"Hah. Just the issuance of a refusal to apologize means Durbin is feeling the heat. Democrats have played fast and loose with their Nazi rhetoric for too long. WE ARE MAD AS HELL AND WE ARE NOT GOING TO TAKE IT ANY LONGER! "

take what? ooooo, you poor repressed peeples

"BEST COMEBACK EVER
A Soldier tells about an incident in the grocery store he stopped at yesterday, on his way home from the base.

He said that ahead of several people in front of him stood a woman dressed in a burkha. He said when she got to the cashier she loudly remarked about the US flag lapel pin the cashier wore on her smock.

The cashier reached up and touched the pin, and said proudly, "yes, I always wear it and I probably always will."

The woman in the burkha then asked the cashier when she was going to stop bombing her countrymen, explaining that she was Iraqi.

A gentleman standing behind the soldier stepped forward, putting his arm around his shoulders, and nodding towards the soldier, said in a calm and gentle voice to the Iraqi woman: "Lady, hundreds of thousands of men and women like this young man have fought and died so that YOU could stand here, in MY country and accuse a check-out cashier of bombing YOUR countrymen.

It is my belief that had you been this outspoken in YOUR own country, we wouldn't need to be there today. But, hey, if you have now learned how to speak out so loudly and clearly, I'll gladly buy you a ticket and pay your way back to Iraq so you can straighten out the mess in YOUR country that you are obviously here in MY country to avoid."

Everyone within hearing distance cheered.

Pass this on to all your proud Americans"

snort. I need to not go over there. I just don't get it

8. OMG I got that "Best Comeback Ever" email...
I put that person on the "email block" list shortly there after. Guess I'm not a proud enough American to appreciate that kind of rhetoric.

5. good for Durbin
why can't people understand that the criticism of the military's policies or a few members of the military doesn't mean that you're criticizing every man and woman in uniform

these policies come from the civilians running the Pentagon, not the men and women in uniform

6. They're so delusional that they're repeating urban myths
about Iraqi women in burqas showing up in American convenience stores.

9. Those cashiers sneak out on their breaks...
and run a couple of sorties over Iraq. They are under-appreciated.

11. One showed up in my Supermarket....
a woman in a burqa that is. Don't know if she was Iraqui, she appeared to be with her husband, who was of a different race, and two sons, obviously bi-racial. (Is there such a word?)

13. Iraqis didn't even wear
burqas until we got there. They sure didn't wear them when Saddam was in power, as it was a secular state.

But what pisses me off, is someone insinuating that it is the fault of the Iraqi people that we had to invade and kill them. Like they shoud have overthrown Saddam so we wouldn't have to. WTF????

And while I'm ranting, I can't believe that no one has ever questioned the "doctrine" of "fighting the terrorists there so we won't have to fight them here". There weren't terrorists in Iraq until we got there, and how do we get away with fighting a "war" against teorrorism in an innocent third party country? Isn't that like if the Russians and Chechens decided to fight their war in Texas? I just don't get it.
