23. Last week he had a yes day
KIEV, Ukraine, June 8 - Six United States senators urged the Bush administration on Wednesday to reconsider its relationship with the authoritarian government in Uzbekistan, saying close association with a nation whose troops fired on demonstrators last month risked undermining the security of the United States.

The senators - four Republicans and two Democrats - also asked if the administration knew whether American-trained troops or American military equipment were used in the deadly crackdown, in Andijon, in northeastern Uzbekistan.
...
Mr. Karimov's government has long been criticized by the State Department, private aid organizations and the United Nations for its poor human rights record, repression of political opponents and use of torture. Yet it has managed to maintain strong ties with Washington, in part by granting the Pentagon access to an airbase near the Afghan border.
...
The letter was organized by Senator John McCain, Republican of Arizona, two Senate staff members said, and was signed by three other Republicans - Mike DeWine of Ohio, Lindsey Graham of South Carolina and John E. Sununu of New Hampshire - and two Democrats - Joseph R. Biden Jr. of Delaware and Patrick Leahy of Vermont.

Raising awareness of Uzbekistan calls attention to the dissonance between Bush's rhetoric about spreading freedom and the actual policy of getting in bed with brutal dictators. All Democrats should be talking about this whenever they have the chance. In addition to embarassing the White House, this issue can drive another wedge between the Republicans in Congress who are partially in touch with reality and those who have lost any grip on it.

Biden may be a loser most of the time, but he's onto something with this and the rest of the party is missing a huge opportunity by not jumping all over it.

26. I have seen Biden tear apart the Bush policy on Iraq on Charlie Rose
and other shows and the next day he'll go along with Bush on some shit about Iraq. It amazes me.

5. mostly what ... in fact, usually it's more like WTF! he has become
a self-indulgent gas bag focused ONLY on himself, his face, his voice, his career, his political ambition, and who continues to give credence to the Twain ditty:

"It is better to be silent and be thought a fool, than to speak up and remove all doubt."

6. He's a warmonger. Warmongers are bankrupting America morally & financially
How can he be okay?

When he talks about the importance of the president being truthful to the American people he means 'tell them that this is going to take much longer than they think.', not 'tell them you commited the worst offence a leader can commit: lie to take your country to war.'

Meet the press

9. I haved hated him since the Clarence Thomas hearings -
he let Anita Hill get crucified. He was in charge of the hearings and could have kept it from being a bloodbath. Instead he treated her as if she was applying for the job of Supreme Court Justice and was in head to head competion for the position.

IMO he is a first class jerk.

16. thank you......everr since that happened, and especially after reading
Strange Justice, I've loathed that prick

he is the single biggest reason we have Thomas on the court for 40 years

he REFUSED to allow the other women testify that Thomas did the same things to them he did to hill, which not only would have KO'd his nomination, but SHOULD have set up perjury charges against him

I really can't stand that bastard

19. Remember he's the senator from Delaware, home of banks and credit cards
I think he's generally okay except that in order to keep the money rolling in for his campaigns he has to dance with the banks and credit card companies that domicile in Delaware, ergo his votes on the bankruptcy bill and other bills that favor banks and cc companies.
