Today Show pouncing on the US prepared part of the DSM
Tucker Carlson is on now, and Mike Leonard asked Carlson only about this part of the DSM, and Carlson said everyone knows the US wasn't prepared, and implied that the memo means nothing. Of course no mention of the fact that the Intelligence was fixed.

Make it so they can't ignore the intelligence was fixed. Just cram it down them nonstop until it's deafening.

White House Disputes U.S. Lacked Planning on Iraq (Reuters)

Addressing the wrong question, thanks to the Washington Post
-----------------------------------------------------
Reuters New Service
Sunday, June 12, 2005 6:03 p.m. ET

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The White House said on Sunday there was "significant" postwar planning for Iraq and disputed the characterization of a memo produced for British Prime Minister Tony Blair eight months before the invasion that expressed concerns about a long occupation.

The briefing paper concluded that the U.S. military was not preparing adequately for what the memo predicted would be a "protracted and costly" postwar occupation of Iraq, The Washington Post reported in Sunday's editions.

<snip>
The report of the July 21 memo comes after the minutes of the subsequent Downing Street meeting were published by London's Sunday Times on May 1 and became known as the Downing Street memo.

The minutes said Britain's spy chief had concluded after a trip to Washington that "intelligence and facts were being fixed" to make the case for war in Iraq, an assertion that U.S. officials and Blair have denied.

9. Carlson is no fan of Bush BTW, and I believe that he didn't vote for him.
From what I gather, he thinks Bush is an idiot.

11. He was the writer Bush mimicked Karla Faye Tucker to ("Please don't kill
me"), which from what I remember, really startled Carlson. It was a well-done article, written when Bush was beginning his run for president. Too bad TC turned into the lightweight asshole that he is now. Peter Principle, I suppose.

10. The really important thing is not that the intelligence was fixed
...but that the fixed intelligence was presented to Congress as justification for war. Lying to Congress is an impeachable offence.

How many times did we hear Bush** say last year about Kerry, "He saw the same intelligence I did"?? Remember that. Remember the truth as well, that Bush** wanted regime change all along and knew the intelligence he showed Congress was cooked to persuade them.

We must NOT let the Republicans frame this issue for us. They clearly don't have justice in mind.
