I can't send an email to Nancy Pelosi! WHY????
I went to her email contact, typed up my email, and hit send.

WELL, I got a message back instantly that said, if you're not one of Rep Pelosi's constituents, this email will NOT be sent! It had a link to another page about her accomplishments and positions as Leader Pelosi, but NO EMAIL CONTACT!

That makes me MAD!

1. I'm not sure. I've contacted her by email and I'm not a constituent.
That is odd.

2. Wait -- are you using the form at her site?
That's strange.

I'm in San Francisco / 94122, in case you need something that works. :)

7. I just wanted to send the following message to each of the Dems
who decided to take their criticism of Dean to National TV.

"Please STOP criticizing Dean IN PUBLIC! You have every right to argue, criticize, or fight with him behind the scenes, but lets keep it off National TV!

There was only one statement made by Reagan that I ever agreed with: "Never speak against a fellow Republican IN PUBLIC!" He was RIGHT!

Please take your criticism to the back room."

I managed to send it to Biden & Edwards, but Pelosi & Lieberman state they only accept emails frrom constituents. GRRRR

10. That's a bunch of cr@p as far as this constituent thinks.
They're happy to have all of our support when they need it, they should be attentive to our concerns when we have then.

Use SF 94122 AND point out that we ALL pay her check.

Ditto for Joementum. Find something that works.

Sheeeeeeeesh. That's just such a dumb way to do business.

13. Thanks. I sent it. I still don't think it should be set up that way.
I understand each member of Congress is primarily responsible to theor constituents, but in many instances, they make statements and decisions that impact the entire country, and I think it's their responsibility to accept the opinion from all citizens.

In Nancy's case, she is the Minority Leader, all of us are her constituents!!!

9. I called her...
I called her office at (202)224-3121
and her staffer told me they have a new website for national email
which she told me was

http://housedemocrats.gov

(which I can't get to come "up")

Can anyone else access it? Maybe another DUer could call too?

16. Okay, I just talked to a lady in Nancy's SF office. She was really
surprised about this bouncing back thing. She took a long time to check it out, both Nancy's main site and at the Minority Leader Site. I suggested she put up a separate addy for Nancy's national constituency.

So, until they get that together, it's phone calls or using a SF zip that works. Sorry, best I could do.

17. Thanks for the help. I finally did get my email sent. I must say though,
to me, it's yet another bit of proof of disorganized Democrats!

If I wasn't a member of DU, I suspect I would have just spent the afternoon growling and complaining, but nothing would have happened to fix the problem.

I try very hard to always support the Dems in almost all their efforts, but damn it, all of them have a big enough staff that this kind of thing never should have happened! It's like working for a Company where the employees try to do their job the best way they can, and the Sr. management keeps screwing up! These folks are not new to Washington, nor to politics. Why do they keep messing up all the time?

18. Sure, it's frustrating! And on the internet problem, I don't
think the Other Side is any better organized.

I'm glad you got your mail through. Let's see if they follow up and set up an addy that works for everybody.

:)
