Question : What Happened to John Kerry and DSM proclamation?
It's becoming clear that the media has been given the "roll over and play dead" order.

We need to take this to another level.

Does anybody know of Kerry's plans?

2. At this time, even if I knew, I wouldn't share.
We are in precarious times requiring strategic tactics.

11. IF he does not come out and pursue this.... it would be VERY interesting
as in .... he was 'advised' not to.

22. Considering USA Today's statement that there
are no reliable sources for this, it seems the disinformation machine is at work again. If Kerry was warned, it's probably about this.

18. Kerry attacked the media's silence on DSM and NOW they're covering it.
Edited on Wed Jun-08-05 01:00 PM by blm
Kerry said he'd return to DC on Monday and raise it as an issue and now Senators are beginning to speak out.

Seems to me that Kerry has already pushed it as an issue with his comments last week and more will follow. I fully expect him to take it on forcefully as he already said he'd support Conyers work.

Would the DSM even be mentioned if Kerry hadn't attacked the MEDIA, ITSELF for its dereliction of duty?

Personally, I think ALL Democrats should attack the media first for their willful compliance in Bush's coverups, and then hound them into covering the issues of import.

5. He's biding his time until the polls tell him which side to be on.
Or, perhaps he's goose hunting.

9. Shilling for shrub again!
Obviously doing his bit for his "Bones" brother. How better to kill the memo than to have the under achieving, low GPA, looser bring this to the public's attention? Everyone will say it is a case of "sour grapes" and poof, just like shrubs NG records DSM is a non issue.
Get wise folks, Kerry is just an other lap dog for shrub.

10. I don't know that Kerry actually said he'll speak out about it
when he got back to Washington. I thought it was to effect of he'll "raise the issue", which could mean almost anything. It's possible that many took that as a sign he'll be carrying the torch upon arrival, but that doesn't seem to be how Kerry works.

speak about the DSM. Did he speak at all? Was he even there? DU was all aflurry about this monday and now no one seems to have much to say. What's up?

16. Actually it's obvious considering what else came out...
.. it was a classic case of the quarterback going back to make a pass, then flipping a lateral to the man in the clear.

All the crap on Kerry's "grades" coming out Monday, and the stuff from the SwiftBoat idiot spewed out again...

Kerry stood up, said "Here I come!", the idiots fired at him...

.. and Kennedy took the lead and opened the door.

They forced the Thugs to use ammo against Kerry that they can't use later now...

Kerry will be next to speak, soon as the current load of crap is dead.

17. So Kerry backs off
beacause of some utter bullshit that comes out? Why not just stick to what he was going to do and fuck what they say? This kind of thing just gives them more ammo against him.

21. Do you really think the Dems are that clever?
Besides, instead of speaking himself, he cleared the deck for the totally non-partisan, totally non-controntational, completely non-controversial Ted Kennedy?

20. I guess it was all a big misunderstanding??????

.....snip

Blogs and websites pulsated with the news: Kerry was going to call for the impeachment of President Bush! My inbox pulsated with the missives of angry conservatives ("you're covering up Kerry's traitorous comment") and angry liberals ("corporate lapdog! Why didn't you cover this? Do your job!").

Once again, the first law of the Non-Mainstream Media was being ignored. Be suspicious of everything you read on the internet, not just those things with which you most agree, or about which you live in the greatest fear.

The Senator's office told "Countdown" last night that he never said anything about impeachment and asked our reporter where he'd read that line. The answer was: the websites of NewsMax and Al-Jazeera.

...snip

If this detail is still relevant in these super-heated political times, the story is not true. But at places as disparate as Al-Jazeera and NewsMax, they wanted it to be.
