Freedom is not free. What's our Iraq ROI?
The bumper stickers tell us "freedom is not free." All the more reason not to have extravagantly and foolishly wasted lives and money on a false threat in Iraq. America has only so many resources, only so many soldiers, only so many weapons, only so much money, only so much credibility and good will among the community of nations. What has Bush done with American "freedom capital" except waste it and lose it?

Never forget that the Iraq investment mistake was made after 9/11 supposedly taught the Bush Administration that America might have intelligence problems. Can anyone, even Republicans, believe that the Bush crew double-checked and triple-checked their plans and rationales in Iraq?

Americans are finally waking up to the fact that invading Iraq made them no safer, that it is a debacle, that it is Bush's Folly (one of many in his life). How many more years do we have to go on this "Iraq mortgage" we are paying off and for which we are see a return of less than nothing in terms of freedom? What's our Iraq ROI?

1. far, far less than zero.
About the only return we've gotten is to make Saddam look like Pericles of Athens in comparison to us.

2. We've lost billions from our economy and everything else...
On a war based upon nothing more than lies, and more white lies. We've lost billions and billions while Oil companies/energy contractors like ENRON make bank, only to lose all the money again.

About the only person who has made any kind of dollars back from the war is the DEFENSE CONTRACTORS, led by surprise surprise, the biggest of the oil companies Halliburton, EXXON Mobil.....Hmmmmm

3. $12,000 spent for every Iraqi man women and child alive in 2002...
seems to be a bit much to spend for any reason, let alone one that shifts with the wind ($300,000,000,000 / 25,000,000).
