Hi everyone, finally got the nerve to start posting a month ago. I have very much enjoyed this place and it has been a haven for me since the first Bush election. I went to a Big Ten school and resided there until a couple years ago. Our campus was aware and active but I could always find solace in DU. HOW I FOUND IT? Remember the first inaguration in 2001 when Bush and Laura had to get back in the car because people were throwing eggs at the procession? well, I was watching that on t.v. and some of the protestors had signs that said "democraticunderground.com" the rest is history. God that was soooo many years ago. anyway, thank you to all of you and hello!
