Discovery Channel Greatest American - VOTE PEOPLE
Please visit this site and vote - I am sure some Republicans have organized calling trees for GW. So, while I would not presume to tell you who to vote for, I will place into nomination, for your consideration, FDR as the GA for the Dems.

I love Eleanor, Carter, Rosa, and JFK, too, but, I think FDR epitomizes someone to chose truth, justice, the truly "American Way" over the seduction of wealth and privilege.

Franklin D. Roosevelt (FDR)
1-866-669-3122

I think you can vote as often as you want. Please pass it on. This is the type of thing the Cons would/could use, in future Pukoganda, if GW places well - perish the thought!

1. Can you provide a link
It's far more likely that people will respond if you make it easy for them.

2. Can't you vote on their web site, too?
Or was that for just the nomination process?

3. Here's the website
http://www.aol.com/GreatestAmerican

Warning: the voting is a little confusing. I didn't know what I was doing and accidently got a vote in for Ronald Reagan and in turn didn't get in a vote for Mrs. Roosevelt. So becareful!

7. I am on the page now, but it does not seem to be loading properly
Is Martin Luther King a choice? If he is not the poll sucks.

I think FDR is the greatest President this nation has ever had, but I don't think he is worthy of the title "greatest American". Despite all the great things that FDR did for the poor and working people of America, he still had some horrible policies as well. I don't think anyone who was responsible for the internment of Japanese Americans is worthy of the title of greatest American. The only reason he was the greatest President is that almost all of our Presidents have sucked.

My vote is for Martin Luther King, and if they don't give me the option then I am not voting.

9. Alright, I got my vote in for MLK, but this poll SUCKS
How could anyone consider Elvis to be among the top 25 Americans of all time? Walt Disney? Oprah? Lance Armstrong? And of course the worst of them all George Bush! Screw this poll, Martin Luther King is worthy but most of the rest of them do not come close.

8. FDR was great, but I voted for Thomas Jefferson
He founded what was to become the Democratic Party. His wisdom got our country going.
