BBV Election Systems & Software VP tell Miami NO TS with paper trail
has been certified by both Federal and State agencies.

IMHO I think he is lying but he may be correct on the BOTH Fed and State for a single machine.

2. Years ago, before Bev started posting here, I read a story
linked at Buzzflash about one of the FL counties (probably Palm Beach) switching to TS. It was a link (if I remember correctly) straight to the county's press release. On the press release there was an email address for the supervisor (not LePore) who was in charge of this. I complained that they shouldn't have purchased machines which don't require and/or don't create printed records. A couple days later, I got a response saying that the companies presenting their machines didn't have any that did that.

Well, optical scan requires a paper record which is retained. And, furthermore, there was an article in the NYT (I believe) a couple days later which interviewed manufacturers. I vaguely remember that one manufacturer was quoted as saying that they had a machine that created a retained paper record which could be cross-checked, buy goverments didn't seem interested in that one. I can't remember now, but the article might have been about the Palm Beach sale.
