Bush to address the UN Tuesday...
and here's what I think we should do:

I am writing a letter to all the ambassadors asking them to boycott or walk out on Bush's speech if he is going to go and demand the UN "do its part in Iraq"

How embarrasing would it be for the chimp to address a half empty assembly or have his speech interrupted by members walking out....

To facilitate any of you who would like to join me...here is the email list for all permanent members of the UN (just cut and paste):

2. Oh, I don't care what he says...
I just hope he has to give Kofi Annan head at the rostrum, on national TV, to get even near what he wants.

3. they should show more respect and class than *

they should attend, listen, and then say, simply, 'no'

they will still be reviled in the whore US press, but...

they will have shown more respect than pResident POS did

5. Yes, they need to show respect and class. . .
if for no other reason than to contrast themselves to Smirk's arrogance and foolhardy behavior. Also, I hope they'd show my country the respect I want their lands held in, for someday soon there will be a better representative of my ideals in place and together we will all move again toward the better world we envision.

13. The diplomats will be diplomatic, of that I have no doubt
That's the Real World talking.

In my fantasy world though, I'd love to see each delegate supplied with a sack of overripe tomatoes, to be used at the appropriate pauses in his speech where he expects applause. Or cater a luncheon just before the speech, with a lot of gas-inducing foods, so that the pauses in his speech would be punctuated with the sound of the world emitting rude odiferous zephyrs as counterpoint to his best lines.

6. I suggest something different

It is more subtle. That they simply remain silent. When he walks to the podium - silence. When he hits his high notes - silence. When he concludes - silence.

It would be deafening.

I wonder if these particular email addresses send your email to the bit bucket. But - maybe they do get through.

7. Chimpy's so accustomed to pausing for his applause from his staged
audiences. He'll be all doped up and forget that he's not on an army base or at a mattress factory in Mississippi. :-)

8. gristy, that would be the most effective approach imaginable!!
Wow... I would give anything to see such a non-response on the evening news. What a compelling idea!!!

12. Or... all the members start playing cards when Chimpboy speaks...
Yeah, not professional but who the fuck cares?? I'd love to see the whoring press with cameras trained on UN members more worried about whether their opponent is working toward an inside straight than listening to Smirk. Heh he....

16. Ah, you know the Brits will clap...
... but I agree. It would be outstanding if the rest sat quietly, listened, and remained silent.

BTW, the e-mails do get through. Cuba will even send you a URL where you can learn more about their country. ;-)

Maybe we need to request that the U.N. send in an international monitoring team to watch our 2004 voting process. Amazing that California has done nothing to date to replace those punch-card machines after all this time, and I wonder how many other states have also done nothing.

9. There are already indications of a snub
http://www.nytimes.com/2003/09/21/international/europe/21DIPL.html?ex=1064721600&en=ec5281bf2ca8141a&ei=5062&partner=GOOGLE">BERLIN - The leaders of France, Germany and Britain failed today to make any apparent progress toward a common position on the American draft of a Security Council resolution, which would authorize countries to contribute money and troops in the rebuilding of Iraq

The three held a much anticipated meeting here and agreed afterward that sovereignty should be transferred to an Iraqi civilian authority as soon as possible and that the United Nations should have a key role in that process.

In other words, the international community wants to keep the Mideast out of the PNAC's clutches. There's gonna' be a Standoff at the OK Corral but the Smirk Junta has screwed up so badly, they may have to blink first. Now that would be sweet!

11. Yeah, definitely
I'm on meds myself, so I normally don't like this kind of joke, but my very first thought was "How much Xanax will he need to take to get through that?" :)

15. I think we, as a nation, should apologize in advance
For our idiot boy "leader" and the horribly uninformed, arrogant, moronic lies he will present to the UN Tuesday.

THIS MAN DOES NOT REPRESENT US.

17. Give him the "slow clap"
I've been in an audience where that was done, and there are few things on earth that'll make you want to hide under the podium quicker than that. The Europeans are much better than we are at insulting someone to the very core of their being without looking like they're being insulting. I love it.
