While what you say is true, they also have quotations from Democrats in the late 1990's saying the same thing. The evidence they saw then was presented by the Clinton Administration.

This is a "I voted for it, then voted against it" argument for us--it's a loser.

Better to say that the Democrats wanted to deal with the potential threat by letting the weapons inspectors do their job. If they found the weapons we would then deal with Hussein. The neo-fascists like Bush wanted a war, they didn't care about weapons inspectors or anything else.
