Defying Predictions, Clinton Library to Meet Visitors Goal
LITTLE ROCK -- Bill Clinton's presidential library is expected to meet its annual attendance goal in just over half the time.

Visitor No. 300,000 was expected to walk through the 150,000-square-foot glass-and-steel museum complex's revolving door either Wednesday or Thursday, just over six months after the library opened Nov. 18, 2004.

Just because I have some time on my hands, let's compare.

from Nov 16, 2004-
Clinton’s library joins a crowded field of underutilized, lightly touristed Presidential libraries

The Reagan library had seen a 31 percent decrease in visitation until the former president's death this year. Since the facility reopened on June 14 after a weeklong memorial, more than 110,000 visitors have poured into the mission-style complex northwest of Los Angeles.
...
Since 1999, the Reagan facility has ranked third in attendance among U.S. presidential libraries, drawing 191,213 visitors each year.

The most popular presidential library during that time was Johnson's, where admission is free, with an average annual visitation of 200,898 tourists. The John F. Kennedy library in Boston was next, averaging 192,213 visitors per year.

1. He's got that school for public policy (?) there which may help
keep the traffic flowing, too.

2. I wonder how the counter library is doing?
Did Scaife have a hand in that? I have to start trolling the NewMaxipad to see if they have news about it.

3. I'm surprised by how many people I hear expressing a desire to visit...
the Clinton Library. This is good news -- thanks for posting.
