So, Bush* calls Amnesty International report 'absurd'.
http://www.cnn.com/2005/POLITICS/05/31/bush.newsconference.ap/index.html

So, with another brush of his hand, Amnesty International is irrelevent. World Court folks....world court.

~snip~ WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Bush called a human rights report "absurd" for criticizing the United States' detention of terrorist suspects at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and said Tuesday the allegations were made by "people who hate America."
~snip~

Why would Amnesty International hate America, makes no freakin' sense at all. They DO promote freedom for all people, not JUST the USofA.

3. In the Conservative mind set, apparently,
The United States can do no wrong.

I don't understand that myself.

4. Amnesty
Because to disagree with the president is to 'hate America'. Amnesty International is a great organization--when they are supporting the current administration, when they don't they hate America. I see a disturbing trend here!

5. There is no alternative
What else is the criminal to do? If he admits their report is true,
then his entire presidency is criminal and he should be in the queue
for an impeachment and a trial for treason.

All the criminals will use the straussian denial tactic. They'll just
call the report absurd, describe how they are hurt and affronted, without
actually engaging the substance of the report.

Even cheney has to hide behind world war 2 to come up with some
good decency to contrast the report's exposure of rampant criminalism.

Gotta hand it to AI, they've spoken the truth, and as usual, truth
is denial-land for the BFEE.

8. Funny he used the same group to alert americans about Saddam
also Iran, North Korea, Syria, Sudan, China, Russia, etc. etc. I guess we will never hear him use Amnesty International ever again. If it helps them they use it if it does not they not only don't use the report they try and destroy the reporter.

11. Dismissing it with a word
Is surely easier than actually refuting the report or its contents. And George is already up to his beady little eyes in hard work. No time for any pesky reports now -- that Nintendo game won't play itself, you know!
