The "Reporters" Need Help! Let's Give Them Some Questions

I just watched that sorry press conference and I realized that the reporters need help. They must have missed their journalism 1 Class.

Let's help them out and give them some questions that can get the Chimp to REALLY "work hard" for his abuse of power...

#1 - Don't call him "Mr. President," that makes him want to throw his toys

:eyes:

2. Did anyone else notice they were all reading their questions from
single letter-size sheets? Looks to me like someone printed out their questions for them.

KKKarl would never do that, would he? :sarcasm:

6. Also, did you notice that Bush was using a list to see which
reporter to call on next. After he said the name he would look up and look around for the reporter. I am sure the questions were all vetted.

Wish the networks had the nerve to play a Clinton (free-wheeling conference) compared to the Bush (slow motion)thing. Now that would be real news.

13. Looked that way to me, too. And when he called on "Terry" twice in a row
I wondered if that was a mistake since a different "Terry" responded. The questions must have been numbered and scripted.

7. Maybe Helen Thomas, my hero ,has the answer
Edited on Tue May-31-05 11:27 AM by goclark

She is the only one that has a spine in the whole bunch.

I didn't see her today, was she there?

In my dreams I want someone to ask him:

SIR, Why do you need to wear an earpiece? Whose voice are you listening to for the answers to our spoon fed questions?

9. They probably had to be pre-approved by Karl or Dan
The stuff is so scripted, Bush probably had a seating chart with numbers for the order to be called on, too. Gotta prepare the Prez when he appears in public. LOL!

12. If they had a spine they would add a line for clarification

but they have no spine and are afraid of little Scottie and all the rest of the wimps.

I have a side question...Isn't it unprofessional for reporters to laugh when he says something stupid? They do it all the time and it sounds like a group of "good ole boys."

5. Had I a White House Press Room Day Pass...
Wait, make that a Jeff Gannon Memorial White House Press Room Day Pass, I'd ask this:

"Mr. President, in the summer of 2002, did you or your administration fix the intelligence and facts about non-existent Iraqi WMDs and ties to terrorism -- which were disputed by US intelligence officials -- to sell your decision to invade Iraq to Congress, the American people, and the world, as quoted in the Downing Street minutes reported on by the Times of London in May of this year?"

Like LBJ once said about a political opponent, "Make the bastard deny it."

11. Downing Street memo questions
Edited on Tue May-31-05 11:32 AM by TexasLawyer
Do you deny the authenticity of the memo?

Just for starters:

Can you explain why, in July 2002, the Bush Administration was secretly taking the position that "military action was seen as inevitable" ?

If the case for war against Iraq was "thin" then why did we need to fight that war?

How do you reconcile the Downing Street memo with your statements to Congress and the American people that war with Iraq would be an absolute last resort?

Do you think that perhaps members of Congress relied upon that assurance when they votes to hand over to you the power to take military action against Iraq?

Can you explain what the memo means when it states that "the intelligence and facts were being fixed around the policy"?

Why was there "little discussion in Washington of the aftermath after military action"?

They usually ask him a question with less than 20 words.

Is there a word limit for the Chimp?

It is an excellent idea to ask questions that have at least two/three parts. In order for him to answer he would need an IQ above normal range and that ain't happening in a million years.

I bet Clinton could have answered your question beautifully.

20. No problem
Great letter! The American public deserves answers.

And we deserve a press that will try in good faith to get us the real answers to those questions.
