Congress is away for another week...
But most of us have to go back to work today. They are not representative of most of us. They are an elitist class that doesn't give a shit about you. They will return next Monday with a handful of deals on judges and Bolton and everything will be back to "normal".

Shouldn't the Democrats come back a couple of days earlier and discuss their strategy for the next few weeks and months? They'll show up Sunday without any consultation over the holiday and, as a Party, will come back as organized as ever. Seems to me this is not a week they should be on vacation?

1. Well for a measly $140,000 per annum
You don't expect this is to be treated like a full-time job, do you? Besides, there's lots of fact-finding to do in the Bahamas and the Caymans this time of year before the hurrican season starts up.
