As you all know last night Nightline honored the soldier who died in Iraq by calling out their names. This year and last year Ted Koppel and ABC were criticized for reading the names. This morning I was think that if the people who are in charge today and their supporters were around during Vietnam the Vietnam War Memorial would never have been made. If they think the calling out of the names of the fallen of this war is unpatriotic then they would have said that the engraving of the names of the dead from Vietnam was unpatriotic. I think both are very patriotic. The names of those who die in war should be called out.
I watched the Nightline special, and my heart was so heavy. I really hurt for their families. But also angry at the Bush crime family for sending them off to die in a needless war.
