I back Clark, but I will not criticize Dean
Edited on Sat Sep-20-03 03:06 PM by bluestateguy
Wesley Clark is my choice for the presidency. I will back whoever the nominee is: from Al Sharpton to Joe Lieberman. Howard Dean is my #2 choice. As such, I will not atatck or criticize him, unless his campaign goes dirty and below the belt. If I feel dean is UNFAIRLY criticized by someone else, or certainly by a Freeper invader, I will step up to his defense. Remember we are all on the same team, and we ought not to let a family disagreement turn into a civil war.

edit: typo

3. I'm all for constructive criticism
I think we all need to be a little more open to criticsm of our chosen candidates. They all could improve in areas.

That said, there have been orchestrated bashings of Dean (not here) by the DLC and the Dem leadership in Congress which is not only uncalled for, but extremely stupid.

Now we're seeing the right bash Clark, which should be answered.

Remember who the enemy is.

20. Your backing Edwards simply because you are from the south?

Freeper logic? Surly there is more to it than that right?

He's also a trial lawyer... I like trial lawyers.... They even the playing field for little guys.... That's why Republicans hate them...

Also, with a little seasoning he can get the Clinton mojo....

5. Good for you!
I'm still waiting to hear specifics on Clark's program to decide about him. I believe that NO Democratic campaign should go dirty. This is counterproductive and only helps the GOP. I think whenever we hear of someone dissing a Dem, we should steer them back into telling the truth on Bush & Co and why we must unite to get rid of the GOP power machine that is ruining this country. Questions about a candidate's stance is fine-dissing should be ruled out, imho.

7. Absolutely
I agree absolutely. I'm pro-Clark, but I want Clark to OUTPERFROM Dean, not to smear and bash him. We're in this together. Repeating smears, whether they come from Counterpunch or the DLC or from Rush is no good.

14. Well that's a crappy fucking' attitude...

Our job here is to run down ALL the candidates. It's vitally important that you get with the program. We are providing a vital and free focus group for the RNC smear machine, and you're encouraging people to slack off!

I should hit "alert" on you, bub....

15. I back Dean...
but I will not criticize any Dem candidate, even Lieberman, though I have in the past, and I can't promise not to in the future if he goes even more to the right or says something truly heinous. I have done some soul-searching, and will even vote for Lieberman over Bush, rather than stay home. Anyway, I'm saving all my criticism for Bush and his gang of thugs.

18. Damn skippy, NNN0LHI!
I miss Ron Brown, and fondly remember his battlecries to unite the party and keep the criticisms focused clearly on Bush I in '92. I hope McAuliffe is up to the task, because if not, it could be to his peril...
