This guy Tom Noe (wonder how he got his name?) is a coin dealer in Toledo and a BIG republican donor. Bob Taft and some of his cronies a few years back thought it would be a awesome idea to invest our taxpayer money into art, autographs, and guess what else....rare coins. These investments are rumored to be around $55million dollars, and apparently most of that has vanished into thin air. Some guy high up in Tafts office just resigned yesterday (I think) because of it, the state has frozen the assets of Noe and his wife, and bob taft is tap-dancing so fast away from Noe and this guy that resigned becuase he is involved too.


Google "Coin-Gate" and you should get a bunch of hits from the Toledo Blade and some other national newspapers.

I've heard the reasons that he couldn't stand for another 9/11 and that the populace would turn on him. I've not really noticed the most braindead even thinking of that yet. I'm thinking they'll by and large stick with the "terrorists only have to be right once" line of Bushit**, they'll rally around Great Leader and put up with his next round of extortion, be it sacrificing more of our rights or spending exorbitant sums of money.

I've had a few republicans tell me they don't care about the poll numbers. My dad once said that too and he said he sorta wished a person could run for a third time so it'd make them work harder and everything. :shrug: I think it'd be tough to be a republican Senator now. You're to go party-line with Bush but you know, by poll numbers, that the public isn't on their side with anything and they have to worry about re-election. If they do like McCain and side with the democrats and goes along with what the public says they're bashed and all types of stuff.

He's into his second term now, and with a solidly Republican Congress, there's virtually no change of impeachment. Honestly, Bush probably doesn't give a sh&t about his poll numbers.

My only joy is that so many people who voted against their own best interests last November probably have buyer's regret now. And shame on them.
